Thought I had it with Mark Noble then remembered he's retired.

Kind of does if Longstaff's position and role doesn't change if you ask me. At least at the moment anyway.
-
I'm not sure they are anymore, or at least right now anyway. Tonali and Willock seems to be the rotation at the moment.

Incredible! You must be only a couple of years older than me so that brought back a lot of memories. I remember the clamour around the asics stuff being insane as well, I had that 'keeper top before I think I got anything else. The 'Columns' keeper top as I called it. So were you cutting about on Christmas day in a toon waistcoat then? I remember the more fashion stuff they did like, think my dad had an 1892 granddad collar or something. Wish I still had a photo of my room, it was absolutely ridiculous.

Definitely didn't sell it at the time because I wanted it and my mam and dad couldn't get it. They got me this instead and I used to wear it underneath

I remember settling on not caring about 'being careful what I wished for', it got to the point that until Pardew went we would never move on to targetting Ashley. I think we all lost a lot of romaniticised ideas we had before the Ashley-era around that period like.

Having Remy that season was very nice like, that side had loads of natural talent in it. I dunno if I remember us playing better that season than that nice run in 11-12 that included West Brom away, Liverpool and Stoke at home, but I was at the 13/14 Stoke match and it was fun like, HBA absolutely took the piss, it was great. 2014 was what inspired SackPardew IIRC, it was that terrible. Mad that that was 10 years ago.

TBF it was a vintage season Seems like it's a decision based on how old the people who are likely to buy it are or something. We still had a nice squad that season, it's insane that the above is our results from for the 2014 part and we still finished 10th.

The only one I've heard so dar that's perked my ears (for a totally different way than Lineker) is Stelling.

The right wing knuckledraggers are lying to themselves. I'm sometimes in complete agreement with him, sometimes think he talks completely uninformed bollocks, but as a football pundit he's fucking superb. In some ways his only downfall as a presenter is that he'd be even better as a pundit.

When I thought they'd be England's fullbacks I was thinking in like 5 years, not next week. Eddie knows what he's doing. Tino's not Trippier level yet, that's an extremely high bar, but he's played very well the last few games after a shakey start.

I'll honestly probably stop watching it. I never watch it now if he's not presenting.

I think we're about par for where we should be based on our performances, so for every Everton away we should have won there's a Bournemouth away we could have lost, a Wolves away for Brighton at home... But Even if Gordon had put away that pen we'd be 3rd. For all the worry, we're in a very good position having played Spurs, Man City, Brighton, Chelsea, Arsenal in our opening 11. 5 wins, 3 draws, 3 losses is good going as far as 'sketchy' form goes. Spread over a season that's still 62 points. We continue improving and hopefully our points tally does too. -
I'd put my mortgage on him having said it solely because it sounded nice.

TBG catching whales week after week

Yet more evidence that he's our Jota/Trossard imo. Ideal player to bring on, absolutely lethal against tired legs.

Would be the ultimate character arc though

Played really well again, as did Tonali when he came on.
