  1. Sounds like great motivation to be part of our ‘team’.
  2. Thought I’d pop in here for a bit of calming reflection… . My catching up on this site this evening has so far involved the Marc Guehi saga, the tantalising Tapsoba tease, and Raheem fecking Sterling in the transfer rumours. This transfer free zone is a killer for the NUFC obsessed.
  3. Got the last three letters of that word in the wrong order and missing a ‘t’. (God, I hope I’m wrong).
  4. 30 pages max for this thread.
  5. I’ll be shocked if he’d leave a title winning side, with a Champions League campaign ahead, to join us. Would have to be life-changing financially I suspect. As EPL evidently isn’t enough of a draw as there have apparently already been failed attempts to lure him.
  6. Gameweek 2 Brighton 2-2 Man United Palace 1-2 West Ham Fulham 1-1 Leicester Man City 3-1 Ipswich Southampton 2-2 Forest Spurs 2-0 Everton Villa 1-2 Arsenal Bournemouth 1-2 Newcastle Wolves 1-1 Chelsea Liverpool 3-1 Brentford
  7. Just looked at score, I was top of the league after Week 1 last season, near bottom this season. Boo! To this game.
  8. I just wonder whether without Schar he might fancy more experienced options in defence and a better header of the ball at left back. So I expect to see Kelly at left back and, fwiw, wouldn’t be surprised to see Trippier start instead of Tino. No fault no blame just using our options.

Thanks. Think I misread this article which talks about right footed CBs playing on the left. https://breakingthelines.com/player-analysis/edmond-tapsoba-bayer-leverkusens-burkinabe-defender/

    So is Tapsoba, I think.

He’s at that age & stage where Glass Hovel will want to cash in.
  12. “Edmond Tapsoba, you say?”
  13. Let’s hope we get a Speed, Solano Given, Hamann, & Pearce too. (Defo not a Hamilton!)
  14. Nah. Would need more Liverpool has beens.
  15. If there are any CB possibles in France we will be well placed/informed to know about them.
  16. I thought that’s what he got the yellow for.
  17. Then we’re locked in with no visitors for three straight months. Off to listen to some Johnny Cash.
  18. @Optimistic Nut @HayDen Traces Are you certain there would have been head to head contact if BBD hadn’t made the forward movement? BBD is slightly sideways on, he had time to move his right foot/rotate his body further away if he wanted to avoid contact. He made sure contact occurred regardless of Schar being fucked off and aggressive. For me it is the Yeti twat’s violent (and utterly pathetic and disgusting) conduct.
  19. I think this view shows not only did BBD commit the first foul and feign injury/simulate (two yellows?) he ensures head to head contact and therefore he technically headbutts Schar. So on the application of the rule to Schar (however soft the contact, it’s violent conduct and you’re off) BBD should have had the straight red.
  20. Some good points but missed the crucial point Schar walks towards and leans towards the yeti aggressively it was the yeti who moved his head swiftly forward to ensure contact was made. If any contact is a red then Schar wasn’t responsible for the head to head contact.
  21. Not sure how to interpret The T&T u21 outing. Being encouraged to move? Match fitness needed?
  22. Well I was, there and squashed. Strongest memory of the day (unfortunately) is being squashed against the wall beside the turnstiles as police horses tried to walk through the jam packed masses waiting to get in. Oh! And some arsehole trying to spit a mouthful of cider at one of the ‘Mounties’ and only succeeding in drenching my hair and face.

Probably. 209 pages for him, 157 for Ekitike. Let’s hope we don’t break this record.
