  1. Can’t find it on app or website. Might be me, but it’s not the most intuitive design.
  2. Can’t wait to turn on Sky tomorrow before the North London derby and hear all about our game.
  3. Very high. Doesn’t always tell whole story. I think PSG had over 30 shots against us (not that many on target) and scrapped a dubious 1-1 with ‘that’ penalty.
  4. Couldn’t find them, but they did have a man sent off at 32 minutes (Potts).
  5. Need a soft feminine element amongst all those competitive and striving 40 something men.
  6. Second best in PL era and ticking ever closer to best ever (top flight points per game wise).
  7. Depends on your role and level of autonomy. See mine about once a month.
  8. I think it is probably a case of fanning embers to create smoke and fire. I’m hopeful that the people involved know what is really going on and aren’t paranoid about there being ‘real’ issues they were previously unaware of. Best case scenario is that external threat creates a stronger bond and increased awareness of the desirability of not letting such noise divide; effective leadership structures needs to be tight, shouldn’t be able to get a cigarette paper between them.
  9. Bloody hell. You’ve changed your tune. It’s not two minutes since you were ridiculing people for believing Hope’s patter. That reads like you’ve swallowed the bait, line, rod, fisherman, jetty, and small coastal town in one gargantuan bite. The number of assumptions, man. 1. Howe’s ‘side’ are feeding Hope. 2. Howe is a control freak who can’t handle devolved responsibility/working in a team. 3. This will get us relegated. 4. PIF really wanted Emery. 5. They’d have a better chance of getting a similar profile manager now. 6. We should get rid of Howe (as all the above speculation is accepted as valid). You’d no doubt feel better if you retained some semblance of your original skeptical frame of mind about this. Remember Hope’s modus operandi, this is what he does. He’s a shit stirrer. A modern example of a classic embittered hackneyed red-top journalist. Such people live off creating drama with no regard to the worry and disharmony it creates.
  10. Not sure. In my mind he was early thirties and recently recovered (not fully) from injury (? Knees). Just checked and he was 28 and went on to play for another four seasons or so at the top level. He stopped playing for Portugal not long after leaving us, so maybe he was limited physically in comparison to how he was before.
  11. In an attacking sense we’ve been (overly) reliant on his, and Trippier’s, out balls. Great to have him back but we’re still in transition possession/attacking wise.
  12. Everyone could do with a Beardsley! But the thought of having someone even nearly as good to link with Isak is tantalising.
  13. Not that other fans taking the piss should be an indicator of quality, but the standing joke of his Man Utd years was the the reason Cantona wore his collar up was he had a dirty neck from carrying Cole. He was better for us (an absolute phenomenon) than for them, but undoubtedly still a top class striker. Different kind of a player, but personally I wouldn’t say he was class above Isak.
  14. Charlie Gordon, well known coke dealer, has a mate called Gordon Bennett. Charlie Bennett is a drugged-up, random enunciator, fusion of the two.
  15. 😂 good job, for cardiac arrest prevention, that he stays away from online opinions! Really made me laugh the whole only 900 here bit. He probably could have a ‘cup of tea’ with the vocal minority.
  16. He would have played in same side as Botman, I think? Haven’t seen him other than recent England game and didn’t really see what others (who no doubt know better) were raving about. p.s. he did. Plus HBA and Cabella
  17. How familiar are you with what such omens usually mean for us? 🤔
  18. Surprises me to hear of Vickery being unduly critical of Bruno. Heard him say very positive things in the past. Including when he was first signed and we knew little of him.
  19. Maybe a tad harsh with worst, but I recall extreme cringing and hiding my face on more than one occasion witnessing the joys of Des Hamilton in the past. In terms of a particular game, for some (probably alcohol related) reason I had massively talked-up Billy Askew before the disastrous 0-2 promotion play-off defeat to Sunderland in 1990. It seemed to me, amongst the general despair, that everything he touched turned to shite.
  20. And that shag pile carpet didn’t shag… .

  22. Loved that. If you ever want to impress upon current players the legacy they can leave through victory then get them to listen to this. Such detail and understanding of the context and personalities involved. Fantastic listen.
  23. Would you like some recommendations for pubs where such sporting apparel would be appreciated? (😉 hope you have a great time).
  24. ‘The "Samba Gold" (Samba d'Or) is a footballaward given to the best Brazilian footballer in Europe, as awarded by Sambafoot. The inaugural award was made in 2008. The Samba Gold is determined by three voter panels: journalists, fellow footballers and votes from Sambafoot's online readers.’ Where can we can subscriptions @PauloGeordio?
