Central Tyneside, Newcastle/Gateshead, has far more diversity, in terms of ethnicity now, than when I grew up. Which is great not least for black, brown and other Geordies who were made to feel an unhealthy, and frankly galling, sense of perceived difference. Hope is guy is getting plenty of plaudits for brave personnel and system change? Playing with, in effect, two number 8s enabled much more forward momentum with the ball, which was a refreshing change, clearly not what they were expecting (they couldn’t cope with us first half) and worked a treat. Both Ramsey and Willock had great games.
