  1. Daft lazy questions deserve daft almost funny answers.
  2. Bit off topic, but back in town for match tomorrow. Loads of ethnic minority people staying near where I am. Reassuring to see not everyone put off visiting by planned protest stuff.
  3. Missing quite a few transfers from that list @timeEd32
  4. Either the photographer developed an interest in crotch shots, or the pictures of training aren’t set-up to work on the app/mobile phones.
  5. Played more ring wing than left (18 to 16).
  6. We want them to like us too TMac.
  7. He’s another one who has been on holiday in Chollerford!
  8. What goes up… and vice versa. Hoping for more floaters!

  10. Thank you. But more Daily Star standard, me thinks.
  11. The Art-eta Dodger. He’s ridiculous 😂

Lovely quote from our new ‘Oz’: “I wanted to join Newcastle, big club, great club. I could have joined Palace, but they’re tiny.”

Let’s just call him Oz. He wouldn’t have a clue re the Geordie reference. But soon will (Will?).

Fair enough, if that’s your view. To me the word itself doesn’t imply that mist other PL clubs are in some way more entitled or generally superior, just bigger. So it’s not inaccurate, though obviously not complimentary. But then, fuck them! Sell us your player you weenie waving wank splashes.
  15. Well we’re all delighted he was when he signed Tripps. Plus some players are at their career best in late 20s-early 30s. I think Murphy is going to be one, for example, and I think Trippier is/has been a case in point too.

I don’t read @Joelinton7 comment that way. Have you looked at their history, where they have been division and finish wise? Best, from memory, is a 7th place first tier finish in a 120 years or so. They are, recently, doing fanatically well (10 years in the first tier) all things considered, I.e. fan base, facilities, profile. They have to protect themselves financially perhaps even more so than the usual aspiration PL team.
  17. Quote from Romano: “If they drop the price at Newcastle, that could still be a possibility, I think, for Liverpool in the final weeks on the transfer window. But it's not something that I'm hearing is now really imminent, because there is still no bid to Newcastle. There is still no fresh club to club conversation. So we have to see what happens in kind of domino players. But, at the moment, is not something really imminent and we also have to respect Newcastle because they want to keep Anthony Gordon at the club. So, it is not going to be easy at all, but the appreciation is 100%confirmed.” Don’t think he is really saying anything, beyond between the lines speculation.
  18. For what it’s worth @LFEE, at the peak of my well meant (as in he is not very far from being the kind of top midfielder we need) Longy frustration I consciously decided to focus on what he was doing, or doing well, rather than any errors forced or unforced, or seemingly bad decisions. It did make a difference to how I saw him. It’s a lot easier to see this at a live game than on TV, as you get a much better sense of a player’s movement, closing down, effort and tactical nous. He’s a great player to have in the squad, but think I’d still take a punt on a Rabiot type as a replacement 😉
  19. Thought you were talking about Alan Suddick! But it was Alan Kennedy. Apologies, total wires crossed moment.
  20. We’ve supposedly been in touch with the agent of Adrien Rabiot, who is available on a free. Still only 29 (surprisingly) anybody fancy taking a punt on a 6’4” Lique 1 and Serie A winning, France stalwart, central midfielder? Probs BS but better than watching tumbleweeds. edit: just been reading about what sounds like a prickly personality/multiple fall outs with managers. Great player but not one for EH me thinks. https://nufcfeed.com/newcastle-have-opened-talks-with-world-class-free-agent-in-attempt-to-beat-arsenal-to-signing-719229
  21. Well that has probably pissed off Schar and Gordon.
  22. Woah! Move on Pope and BDB? What’s ganning on?
  23. Sounds a fantastic player, but he left aged 22, in 1966, before most people on here were born (even me!). So no surprise really. Many others who on ability could/should feature (Milburn, Hughie G, Bobby Moncur, Frank Hudspeth—who apparently, should be the best shout for the LB role—Joe Harvey, Colin Veitch, etc etc) are just lost in the mists of time and legend (for most). Lovely to see someone from that era feature though, so fair play to you.
  24. Or fit as a lop and strong as a bull!
