You’re about the only one, Frankie. I didn’t think he was as honking as some seem to have, in the match thread, but I am erring towards hoping he doesn’t start at the palladium of shite. Whereas this time last season I would have been praying he was fit. Not quite sure what the issue is, doubt it is age he is still clinging onto his twenties, but he hasn’t looked quite as fit this season and his decision making and execution has definitely been far from his best.

As above; he hit a cracker last night.
-
He certainly seems to have a better left footed shot than Barnes. Contrast the three left footed shots last night (add Murphy’s to this and we really were unlucky), Harvey’s two weak but close efforts from the right and Anthony’s post rattler from the left.

Do you have an ‘unfortunate’ tattoo? -
We’re above both Barcelona and Marseille. We’d have been in 7th, above Real Madrid, if we’d won last night. Not too shabby.

Not even the first half hour, I thought we started well at least first six minutes or so. -

I thought she made some decent comments when doing ‘to camera’ bits. The irritating thing for me was the way she and the bloke with her at the end had seemingly been told to keep smiling at the camera. So they both had these evidently fake grins plastered over their faces. -

I usually listen to commentary via club app and watch the images (when I can) with sound down. The former was about 20 seconds ahead of the TV last night, easily corrected by pausing the comms for a bit, but I was so keen to know what was happening that I just lived with the gap. -
There is a massive gap between caring so much that if we lose you would want him sacked and not being bothered about the result at all.

Aaron Ramsdale: return to Southampton confirmed

Just give the lad a few games to settle and then we’ll see. If it wasn’t for the equaliser I think he would have taken a lot of confidence from that game and have settled into the role. Hopefully he still will. -
Add he has delivered our best ever defensive performance in a season conceding 0.87 goals per game, his teams have scored more goals than Keegan’s, second best ever in terms of points per game etc etc.

Bet you’re fun to go for a pint with. Actually perhaps give @Dokko a ring, you’ll bring the positive energy.

Shame we don’t have any one named O’Brien. It would hilarious to have a resurgence of the ‘Any…’ song. -

I’m all in on a Fabian Schar thirty yard chip to cap a modern Howay 5-0 -
Hang on it is early, let me just get this straight, you have just stated Sandro Tonali looked absolutely tragic? This was the match last night? I mean it would trigger a similar response if it was about him on a football pitch anytime ever. But this was the game where he covered every blade of fucking grass. Multiple recovery runs and interceptions in our own box. Where he slipped outside their box but was still the first man back in ours? That Sandro Tonali? Picking one moment in a game to characterise his entire performance is like saying did you see him fall over, waste of space, can’t even stay on his feet. Do you actually rate any of our midfield?

Howay Rod. To be fair they have improved since the last time we played at the palladium and beat them 0-3. We’ll definitely see signs of that improvement in the scoreline, so 1-3 😉 -

Was he shite though? He isn’t as big and dominating (not looking for a date…) as I would like, but he made some decent saves and choices tonight. -

I mean, I am from the same town as both of them and have had to tone down use of dialect etc (lived away for decades) but accent wise it is pretty clear where I am from. Why change the preferred voice of the call centre employee? -
Well they’ll have all the bio data which helps gauge readiness/ability to play twice in three days.

He’s absolutely butchered his accent mind. Worse than Chris Waddle. Maybe they both used the same elocution coach. -
