  1. I bet they are chock full of brand new information from Richard Keys
  2. Just been here a couple of weeks and a hundred or so posts so no worries about wasted life for me
  3. I get that. But Caulkin, Duncan Castles, Chris Waugh... they’ve all reported similar and we know for a fact they speak to the buying side regularly. It just seems like rehashed news from other reputable sources to me. (The same way they report on transfer talk) Aye, it's clear that that's how it seems to you different people put different values on news sources, though, and while I'm not saying that nufc.com carries the same weight as the BBC or Sky Sports, sometimes the same story appearing on a different source is enough to change the emphasis. For me, nufc.com have always been conservative enough in the past to make me think that them posting what they did in the middle of the night on a Sunday must represent a significant development. It's fair enough if you don't see it the same way.
  4. I think it's just that they've chosen to report it, which carries a bit of weight and makes it feel different to Twitter shite.
  5. Definitely makes a difference that .com have reported it imo, it's 'only' a fansite but they've always been very cautious and the way they've reported that is fairly unequivocal. Still time for it to go wrong but they haven't just thought, 'it's approaching midnight on a Sunday, I wonder how we can get our hits up', this must be based on something fairly substantial.
  6. It's a bit late on a Sunday night to start with the gifs though, timing is appalling
  7. I will be entirely honest; while I'm still 100% prepared for yet another disappointment, I can't wait for that knacker to disappear from the club first and foremost - but I would be lying if I said I wasn't intrigued by the prospect of being able to compete at a serious level again
  8. They are the double of each other to be fair, other than one looks happy, confident and successful while the other looks like a bloke who had a dream career and lost it because of being a sex pest. I think I've posted that before mind
  9. Five Live doing a piece on this now. Dan Roan says it'll go through and I think he said likely to be resolved this week. Very negative piece in general, though (although to be fair it had the BBCs usual 'balance', ie presented their obvious opinion in great depth and then quickly acknowledged the existence of counter-arguments).

I wouldn't miss them, got to be honest. I hope they discover the value of protesting as well, but only when it's far too late

Hard to believe they didn't all spot this dude as a chancer banking on an immediate return to the championship then a quick sale. Everybody else could see what was happening.

These fuckers out of business yet?
  13. Wouldn't bother me tbh, long as he was nowhere near the football
  14. Yeah, probably I saw him in that light at the end of his stay rather than the start. I never saw any potential greatness in him, though, I will confess
  15. I still find it difficult to reconcile the position that 2020 James Milner is in with the bloke who played for us. I just saw him as symptomatic of the direction of travel for Newcastle at the time, a slow and flair-free plodder. Don't watch a lot of football any more and I've never been one for watching games that don't involve us so I don't really know how he's developed but he's clearly doing something right these days
  16. Shields Gazette have been at the front of the pack from the start of the thread, like
  17. To be fair to the doubters, I'm pretty sure we've been hearing Within A Week for about a month at least I still believe, though
  18. Clooney and Pitt weighing in on sportswashing and telling us to be careful what we wish for
  19. Always felt like the Hollywood Reporter would get the scoop in the end
