What are people's favourite nonleague places to visit by the way? I obviously love Alnwick's oldschool setup but I also have soft spots for Esh Winning, dilapidated as it is, Billingham Town and Shildon, of the ones I've been to.

Park View is a peculiar one. All purpose athletics venue on the back of the cricket ground, ball runs for miles when it goes out of play. Collapsable barrier at the edge of the running track. Paid £4 to park there. Haven't been to the other three myself yet.

Ah right, assumed they must have been your locals yeah it's definitely not one of the northern league's classic venues, saw plenty of places like that in the Northern Alliance and Billingham Synthonia's ground is similar (they play at Stockton Town's ground as I recall) but most of the NL grounds have a bit more character than that. I'd have been stood just to your left most of the first half, was literally right behind the goal (safest place given the general standard of Alnwick's striking). Was it you lot talking about the number of players involved in 44 teams all playing in the Northern League at once, and having the conversation with the Hearts fan at half time?

Is that the regular ground by the way? Surprised they get away with it if so, not being able to get all the way around means it's not up to code as far as I know. That said Shildon is the same and they're Division 1
