You won't be disappointed with either option. The Highlands is a wide area though, and it would depend where you were going and what you wanted to do when you were there. It's very scenic but it's not particularly geared toward tourists, which a lot of people find disappointing. If you want to get out of the car and walk some miles and climb some hills, it's the equal of pretty much anywhere in Europe imo, but the towns at the bottom of those hills are often a long way away and often not particularly interesting.

The development side were well beaten at Alnwick yesterday; bench had all the tracking and computers and stats but they were pretty dismal and very poorly organised.

Everything you see from him on the pitch makes it look like the guy is a bit of a primadonna at absolute best like We've all spent decades watching teams being comprehensively fucked over by egotist non-team-players who think they're better than any cunt else

Ah, what a shame. I hope she's ok, she was always a really likeable player and it looked like it had already been a long way back for her last year.
-
What happened here? Kelly not injured again I hope. Those three on that line plus Lumsden and Cataldo the only ones left from when I was watching them two years ago

Anybody know who's been turning out for the reserves recently? Alnwick Town Women playing them tomorrow, I had maybe been maybe planning to maybe go along to SJP but I'll probably go to the reserves instead.

There are some strange, strange old hills being died on these past few weeks

He'll get it out the way early for exactly that reason

Were we on a pretty shit run going into the cup derby a couple of years ago or is that my imagination? Fully accept they hadn't signed their new team of wuld beayters at that point so not a fair comparison

Worksop Town Emley was an entertaining enough game. Emley played ok despite being leagues apart, not sure how it would have turned out if they'd got the goal they probably deserved early on. Your mate and his mates were deep in conversation when I passed them @Scoreboard82 so I didn't want to interrupt, and when I passed back that way they had sensibly retreated to a stand to get out of the rain. Thanks again to you, him and @La Parka for the recommendation great little club, really well run and a nice feel to it. Well observed minute's silence for a volunteer there who had just died as well.

Hard to say whether they've gone backwards at the higher level but certainly if they were looking to buy success they didn't go about it very effectively
-
Getting rid of the local lasses and replacing them with what feel a bit (probably unfairly) like journeywomen and mercenaries probably hasn't helped. They kinda walked the national league because they were paid and everybody else wasn't but I would rather have seen Tyler Dodds and Hannah Greenwood and Katie Barker given a chance at this level rather than go down the route we went to not look anything like getting the next promotion anyway. The players we brought in are decent and seem like good lasses but not, in the main, so much better that it was worth losing the local feelgood factor for imo

Yeah the buzz around the women's team is well down I think. Was hoping they'd open the strawberry corner but hadn't needed to last time I looked

Pottsy back with Alnwick yesterday (who also lost, at rock bottom Billingham Synthonia) but I don't think he was in the squad

Cheers both, hadn't realised Worksop were at home. I'll do that Tuesday looks like the ground should be easily walkable from the Premier Inn at Rhodesia as well. And thanks for asking about the Wednesday scoreboard, appreciate that. I think I'll head to Brigg, that's closest

So many "They Are Only Defined By How Newcastle Are Doing" posters who were previously 100%have been outed as at best

Away on training next week and staying in the People's Republic of Worksop. Looks like I'll get a relatively local game on the Tuesday and the Wednesday. There's a bit of higher level stuff but I'm a big fan of Northern League kinda standard so that's what I've been looking at. Long shot but can anybody pick a favourite place between Kimberly Miners Welfare, Gedling Miners Welfare, Rossington Mains and Pinxton for the Tuesday, and between Brigg Town and the splendidly named Penistone Church on the Wednesday? @La Parka looks like your lads might have played at some of these places whether league or cup, you been to any?

Did they just keep playing it over and over, or does that terrible version have all the verses? Sounded like it went on forever on the radio
