Did Ederson not tail off a bit last season sure he was on the bench a few times I looked.

Could see scousers coming in for Gordon if Diaz goes, but wouldn’t want Barnes as first choice on the left next season. Selling Gordon is only an option if we’ve got a top drawer replacement lined up.
-
Where not Brighton we don’t sell our best players.
-
Head down pacey wingers are great when there’s space and playing in transition, but we’ve got one of these in Gordon. How many times last season would people pull their hair out with Gordon due to his lack of awareness and poor final ball. Our biggest failing is composure in the final third where we can’t break teams down at home and we end up forcing things and running out of ideas. If Elanga is our major attacking signing this summer he solves none of those problems, no matter how great a coach Howe is, after 2 plus years he still hasn’t solved this with Gordon.

The lad from Monaco has played CL last season and is technically brilliant, would give us something completely different.

Ooh ah Franz Carr say ooh ah Franz Carr

Plan B McAtee by any chance ?

I still cling to the belief that Eddie was behind the Isak, Botman, Bruno and Tonali signings, because as time goes by our transfer strategy looks very predictable and if I dare say boring as fuck.
-
Miley should have started in the middle last game of the season instead of changing the whole formation due to 1 man being out, after being trusted in CL games the previous season can see why he’d be frustrated.
-
Yeah our bench has no difference makers just players you’d bring on to see out the game, including a keeper a minimum of 5 players required for me. This is why the scouting network and not paying over the odds for PL players is crucial. Suspect we’ll get 3 tops and the narrative will be that we’ve prioritised quality over quantity.

No would leave us criminally short with all the extra games to play. Where in a tricky situation with limited funds where we need to improve the first 11 but also the squad depth.
-
Would take Dibling much higher ceiling than Elanga, even if he does look a lazy twat at times with his socks rolled down Waddle esque.
-
Be interested to know how many of Elanga’s appearances were from the bench last season, from my recollection he wasn’t a starter every week ? Don’t dislike the player and yes he ticks boxes, but he isn’t changing the outcome in any game we lost at home this season and importantly might only slightly raise the bar in relation to Murphy. Be very disappointed with Elanga and while Mitchell might well be a cunt, I think he’d have a point with our scouting not being fit for purpose if we shell out 40 million on him.
-
If we signed Guehi, Elanga and Trafford this summer it’s clear that would come to around 120 million at least. Fully on board with spending 30 million on Trafford, think having a top keeper who is comfortable on the ball will make such a difference. Think the other 2 would improve squad depth and give us pace down the right side, however don’t think they take us to the next level. It would leave us short of striker and midfield cover as can’t see the budget stretching any further and don’t think it would solve any of the problems we’ve had with breaking down middle of the road teams at home this season. Guehi and Elanga are safe unimaginative signings that don’t excite me one bit and do nothing but consolidate us as a top 8 team in my opinion.

Hates Sam Fender though so instant hero.

It’s going to be Elanga for 40 million I’ve got no doubt.

Mackems on their holiday to the North Easts premier coastal resort.

Yeah key position in the modern game and even the great managers should be challenged from within on transfers. Still think Ferguson had a part to play in the Mancs downfall by the end with him and his brother signing a pile of shite like Nani and Anderson from Sporting.
-
What about a keeper, forward and midfielder to cope with all these extra games next season ?
-
You’d think so but did they not want to pay 50 million plus for Guehi last summer and it was acknowledged that it would have needed a big sale to balance for PSR ? If we believe Mitchell he went along with the strategy already in place last summer, before declaring it not fit for purpose. Where going to find out what the strategy is pretty soon and if I was betting man I’d wager it’ll be PL experience with a premium price tag to boot.
-
All about opinions but think it’s a blow seemed to be doing some great work with these young lads signing and most seemed to be aligned with taking a new approach to transfers after 3 windows because we couldn’t afford to be spending huge sums due to PSR. His PR wasn’t great at the start but if the plan is to spend 100 million plus on Guehi, Mbuemo don’t think many can complain if we end up back at square one with PSR.

Months away and this is a huge summer.
-
Disappointing doesn’t seem to have stayed anywhere very long, far from convinced this is a good thing and not keen on Howe having total control. Most managers are short sighted as their positions are vulnerable, should always be somebody detached with a long term plan in place to oversee a strategy. Disappointing and hope we get a top drawer replacement, history tells us this appointment will be months away though shit timing.
-
I’m sure if it was just down to money PIF could guarantee him a lucrative move later in his career, I’d only be concerned if Barca, or Madrid come knocking.
-
Willock and Longstaff going should free up some decent funds for a midfield upgrade hopefully. Feel like it’ll be Jacob Ramsey who hopefully has a higher ceiling and fits the mould.
