  1. Feels like CL hopes hinge on getting back to winning ways tomorrow, actually think if we do win we’ve got a bloody good chance. Still got Spurs and Mancs to play at home with games in hand, all to play for and think we’ll nick this.
  2. Some of these cunts would be better going to the theatre royal on a Saturday afternoon.
  3. I would play St Max and Gordon, give Almiron a rest he looks shot. I’m sure Gordon can play on the right and if Wilson is playing might even lend itself to getting some crosses in the box.
  4. I’m sure gold fish bowl will step into the breach.
  5. What’s the excuse rest of the games then ?
  6. I’m probably similar to yourself came back for the spurs home game after the takeover. Loved the build up, city absolute rocking, then place was flat as a pancake once ref blew whistle. Picked up when Wilson scored then quickly went flat again, I couldn’t believe it the fuckers could only raise themselves to chant we want brucey out near the end. We’d waited 15 years to get rid of Ashley and we couldn’t maintain an atmosphere for at least 45 minutes. If that was Elland Road they’d have been raucous and defiant in defeat, the current fanbase inside SJP reek of customers who think it’s the in thing to go to a PL match. Its a sad state of affairs and the only thing negative about the club in my eyes at the moment, which is ironic because in the doldrums of the 70’s, 80’s and early 90’s the support was the one thing that kept the club going. Ffs we can’t even blame the takeover and winning trophies for the demise in atmosphere, something deep rooted has changed the fanbase and it’s going to be difficult to get back after 15 years of Ashley.
  7. Loads of fans standing and roaring the team on at nil nil would be a huge improvement on the current experience. The home support is fucking dreadful mate whatever way you want to dress it up.
  8. Let’s fucking hope not as the vibe seems to be PL experienced players. Absolutely worst way to go and would ultimately be Howe’s demise as he’d fail to take us to the next level PIF clearly want. Lets hope it’s agent driven paper bollocks as it would be a huge shift in recruitment strategy.
  9. Our support has lost its edge it’s as simple as that, compared to other big clubs support we look like mice. We seemed to have lost an older generation who used to go and there’s no groups of younger lads to take their place. Football has changed but a lot of clubs have still retained a hardcore of lads who attend the match in big groups. The Ashley generation of folk just being happy to fill their Saturday afternoon in reign supreme in the majority. They we’re mutes when he was running the club into the ground and mutes at Wembley. They’ll not raise their voices in relation to anything seriously damaging the club, but will boo and moan their tits off when Longstaff gets caught on the ball. Newcastle losing doesn’t spoil their weekend and asking them to move seats to create an atmosphere, you’ve got to be kidding they’ll look at you as if you’re fucking stupid. Some of these cunts had the audacity to have a go at supporters at Wembley for standing and trying to create an atmosphere. Anyone at Old Trafford for the Spurs semi will remember everyone standing in that big stand and it moving due to the noise, that’s right an all seater stand didn’t stop the crowd that day, contrast that to the pitiful excuse of day trippers who turned up at Wembley to support the club. The current crowd need a shake up and if it means upsetting folk who don’t want to stand fucking tough. Move the cunts and let some passionate fans save the reputation of a once passionate and proud fanbase.
  10. This summer or early 2024 if they want this done in time for SJP to be considered for Euros.
  11. Totally agree he screams West Ham, Everton type signing, great if you just want to survive or hover around mid table, but is most definitely not a player to take us to the next level. As much as I love Eddie he should be overruled on this one, I don’t care how big of a fan he is.
  12. It’s alright for the Saudis to save thousands of jobs by investing a billion in the Teeside economy though ? Where’s their morals and ethics when it comes to this investment. 2 tinpot clubs who nobody gives a shit about.
  13. A good example of how lazy and fast our supporters sing songs is the reworked hello hello we are the Geordie boys. Obviously during the Ashley years as a nod to our decline the words were changed. However, to simply repeat where gonna win fuck all again, where gonna win fuck all at 1000 mph is dreadful. A simple change to the 2nd line sing much slower sounds much better. ‘We’re gonna win fuck all again, but we don’t fucking care, we still follow United’. One view at how Rangers sing we are the billy boys and folk would see what a great song this is. It used to be a staple in the promotion season under Keegan and sounded far better than the shite way it’s sung now.
  14. Howe will have input on all our signings.
  15. Got no doubt Howe will turn this blip around if you can even call it that. We’ve lost to 3 top clubs and can’t say we’ve really been outplayed by any of them. My only reservation with Howe is his transfer record and preferring expensive young British players, or so called PL ready players. I’ve got no doubt about his coaching ability, but think he’ll have to be prepared to take risks on foreign imports such as Bruno if we’re really going to challenge the top teams. I don’t think the Gordon’s and the likes of the young lad from Bristol City will get us to the next level and that’s going to be the challenge. We got heavily linked with the likes of Calvert Lewin and Connor Gallagher in the Jan window and for me these just won’t take us to the next level. The owners will want progress every season, I just hope Eddie is brave and is prepared to take a gamble as a lot of these British players are over rated and poor value for money.
  16. Not a fucking thing this will be a common occurrence every year. Clubs and media hate us long may it continue.
  17. These 2 are clearly the best but for me it’s about just acknowledging our history and being proud of where we’re from. We are a unique club in my opinion and I think we’re in danger of becoming a generic fanbase. I can forgive the Bruno in the middle generic shite, if it was mixed in with traditional stuff like Blaydon Races and Howay The Lads. Im just fearful that the current fan base is losing touch with our heritage. I don’t hear Leeds fans not sing marching on, or even Man City fans not singing Blue Moon. After we scored at St James, or near the end of a match we were about to win you’d always hear the Blaydon Races.
  18. This is the guy i want in midfield, him and Maddison and we’ve got a real good mix in there.
  19. We’ve never had a support so poor at a neutral venue as we did on Sunday. Granted nowhere is bouncing every game but even a big game like Southampton recently was poor, if folk weren’t up for that then we’ve got serious problems. The common denominator in these places where the atmosphere has improved is large groups of fans standing and congregated in the same area. I think the opposite to yourself it’s time to be critical, our support is piss poor compared to some other teams at the minute, both vocally and in terms of songbook.
  20. Right there and level 7 corner above would probably be about 5.5k seats ? Right next to away fans NP would object to fuck, but I fucking love it and would get some real back and forth with away fans going. That’s what’s missing from SJP there’s just no banter with away fans anymore.
  21. The song book is embarrassing it doesn’t even need new chants, just some of the old ones to come back. I don’t even think I heard our lot sing newcastle newcastle newcastle, never mind the Blaydon races on Sunday.
  22. Not just folk on here who thought atmosphere was shit on Sunday.
  23. The London Supporters branch did a great job in build up and during the cup final weekend. Just seems they were a bit naive recommending pubs in Kilburn, when it’s a notorious gathering ground for their hoolies pre Wembley.
