  1. I think that’s a great solution if the land is available to do it. The fact the league cup tie with Palace is already sold out shows the level of demand is already there for a far bigger stadium.
  2. Exile knows John Hird apparently quelle surprise.
  3. John Hird’s aim is to rid the club of PIF as per this closing para in his mag article last year - ‘Fans who are interested in KICKING THE SAUDI DICTATORS OUT OF OUR CLUB AND RECLAIMING NUFC – Join us here’ I don’t think trying to engage with the club ownership on matters is part of his mission.
  4. Condescending prick going on about educating people, the majority are fully aware but couldn’t give a shit as he’ll find out.
  5. I notice Brighton’s head of recruitment Paul Winstanley has been snapped up by Chelsea. Clearly they’ve had a good set up in place which has been noted by all the big clubs.
  6. PIF would be well aware of western values and culture when they chose to start investing overseas. Just something Saudis will have to get used to as their country courts western investment through tourism etc. Likewise I can’t really get upset by their views as it’s obviously heavily embedded in their religion, something our own church also didn’t recognise until recent times. It also shows that though the Saudi state gets beaten with a stick it’s also a view widely shared by a lot of its people unfortunately. Club have shown they aren’t under any instructions from above in matters like this which is all that counts.
  7. Had some great times on the benches before moving upstairs to the gallowgate wing. Used to sit near Keith Barrett back in the 90’s and it was definitely the best part of the East Stand for atmosphere. Full of big groups of lads from Washington and North Shields who we’re always great craic. Before the bond scheme, platinum club etc the Milburn leazes wing was always great for getting the atmosphere going aswell in the 90’s.
  8. Aye got mine the year we we’re in the old 2nd division and played Man U at home in the 5th round under the bald eagle. Think you got a ticket for the match and a half season ticket can’t remember how much. Think we lost 3-2, had Paul Sweeney playing and the Mancs went on to win the cup. I’ve erased all memories of our end to the season that year, however good times were just around the corner little did we know at the time.
  9. Used to love the east stand benches radgie as fuck before they turned half of it over to family enclosure.
  10. Argh but the UAE isn’t as bad as Saudi Arabia therefore it doesn’t count. What these cunts don’t seem to be grasping is that they live in chicken town, one of the most backward cities in the U.K., who boo taking the knee, vote for brexit, welcome Tommy Robinson with open arms, and have very recent examples of openly cheer leading a certain peado winger and racially abusing relatives of black players. They can try to reinvent themselves all they want now as these liberal caring fans who can’t sleep at night due to bombings in Yemen and human rights, but they are only fooling themselves nobody else. The simple fact is that one walk through the city of Newcastle Upon Tyne these days confirms that it’s a multi cultural, cosmopolitan, thriving and buzzing city very much on the rise with the promise of millions pounds of investment to come. They have every reason to be looking for solace at the moment they’re fucked and we’re loving every minute of it.
  11. This lot have lost the fucking plot some even claiming they won’t be watching the world cup in Qatar. If Amnesty had any sense they’d relocate their HQ to pennywell right now, they’d be overwhelmed with volunteers and donations. Obviously if PIF ever sold us they’d be fucked like.
  12. Think this lad has been scouted by the club in recent months. Could be a dark horse as the extra midfield option we're after, certainly the right age and type of player Howe likes working with.
  13. Nah Birmingham fans actually have a reputation as being a bit handy over the years, something that lot down the road could only dream of.
  14. Mark Douglas a while back said we we’re keeping an eye on Mudryk, I certainly wouldn’t rule it out.
  15. All PL clubs now receiving money via the Saudi state let’s see who’s morally bound to say no thanks….
  16. I can see the appeal of a Merino, Bruno and big Joe midfield. I’ve been impressed with Longstaff and Willock massively this season though and would be more than happy to get to next summer with our current options. However, the signing of a Merino type midfielder would insure us against any injury to Bruno, which would dramatically downgrade our current ball retention capability.
  17. Would be ecstatic with Diaby or Mudryk in January alongside a DM. Fill those 2 positions and I think we’d be right in the battle for a top 4 place.
  18. Gonna be a superstar this kid will make St Max look like Steve Guppy.
  19. Always a place for a Trippier who is probably my favourite player at the moment. But undoubtedly we’re in a good place to recruit for the future, as Keegan used to always preach the best time to buy is when you’re doing well.
  20. Can’t be underestimated Howe’s time away from the game and spending time with Simeone. No coincidence we play nice football but are hard to beat with an element of shithousery thrown in.
  21. To be fair I think it’s only the unwashed down the road who believe they are funded by the club. Correction have brainwashed themselves into thinking that without actually believing it really.
  22. Good to see us potentially strengthening the u21 side in January for a crack at the youth cup. In all seriousness the transfer strategy is very exciting, this gets me going more than some 30 year old star on the decline. We have the potential to become one of the youngest and most exciting teams around under Howe.
  23. There’s worse places he could be spending his time to be fair. Sensational if we get this kid and Dos Santos.
  24. Definitely have a feeling we’re building some relationships with agents etc in Brazil and we’ll see some big talents through the door.
