Not sure about embarrassing, but I feel so…sad about last night, and I can’t actually pinpoint why. Feel like the end of an era maybe? Not sure, but it’s a feeling I have never had before following a defeat. Genuinely a bit of an upsetting day which is ridiculous given that it’s a daft game of football.

I wasn’t at the Man Utd final, and deliberately got in after the national anthem for this one, so my first feeling of ‘this just feels right’ was looking down to the bottom tier right on kick off with them jumping around going daft. Things just felt aligned in that moment. I remember at some point in the first half turning to my mate and saying that we were actually playing really well.

Have a very vivid memory of looking at the clock at eighty something minutes having expecting it to be something like sixty. The second half flew by and there was very little nerves for me. Even at 2-1 I never seriously thought we were going to blow it.
