Was in basically the seat next to the Man Utd fans during that awful game they beat us 5-1 with Ronaldo rampant. At one point one I was catching eye contact with their fans in an attempt to form a human bond, reasoning that it might make them feel sorry for me and go a bit easier on the gloating.

I can never quite work out where I am at with Sunderland. We’re obviously so much better and will be for lifetimes and the obvious thing is to hope for derbies and low point records in the premier league. At the same time, I welcome their every misfortune so I’m always hoping they get beat- even if it means desperately dull clubs like Burnley get promoted. ultimately, it’s so much better than when their losing in the playoffs to Lincoln was the high point of the season.
  3. Pretty sure people who grew up watching football in the 70s or 80s mark the 90s as the point when football became shit. I have a vivid memory of The Mag bemoaning our atmosphere during probably our best best ever season (95-96). Thought the atmosphere was fine tonight. We’re an expectant crowd watching a good team. It is what it is.

But like every hilarious football troll he just gets to act like either a) it was a hilarious wind up all along or b) in the event it turns out to be right, acts smug.

Is there any way at all to notify froggy that, despite being mates with people from the forum, he is ruining threads with his witless bollocks that possibly qualified as hilarious trolling in the 2010s in such a way that doesn’t hurt his feelings because I’m sure he’s a nice lad really?
  8. They were taking the piss out of him on Football Cliches for doing that in a Pre-season game. Presume it's just his ritual.

I remember it was freezing cold too.
  10. Surely City have over the last decade?

Existing season ticket holders are not allowed to move seats.
  12. Though he was as shit at Derby as he is most places, didn’t he gain a lot of goodwill from their fans for how much effort he put in during the club going near bust? He was sleeping in his office. Then stepped aside without a payout to help them get new owners in. Likewise, he didn’t take anything from Plymouth. Seems like a good sort, albeit tragically shit at managing.
  13. I think you’re both right. Have absolutely no issue with checks as it’s evident from the numbers points are now dropping to compared to a few years back that it is stopping people from buying for every game with the intention being to hoard loyalty points. But being told by some jumped up dickhead that if I don’t stop talking I’m going to be in trouble would rile me as well. A day’s notice sounds like a good shout.

    Is this a forum joke?
  15. He liked the colour red though
  16. In a tournament that hasn’t used VAR in any of the previous rounds
  17. The game I keep thinking back to is when they played Villa at Xmas a few years ago. Villa went in as favourites and were two up at half-time. Man Utd came back to win 3-2 and it was (what now counts for) a famous night for them.

Don’t know if this is a forum bit, but he is significantly more talented than Ben Arfa
