  1. Arsenal have some real pricks in their team, but they’re so experienced at this type shithousery now
  2. They’ve also been great on the transition, they have been all season. Really controlled possession with brilliant pace and movement in behind
  3. Some unlucky finishing out there so far - both sides could easily have 3 goals each
  4. It’s just straight balls played through the centre of us when they get in between the lines
  5. This has just shown another big problem with VAR. They’ve come here to waste time and calm the crowd and VAR does that for them
  6. Plus they also get to kill 5 minutes of the game where they were being dominated
  7. The big issue for me is that we lose the ball in an attacking position. They just get it kick it down field like we didn’t have them penned in
  8. I love how we transition from defensive situations
  9. Really wish we still had Ivan Toney. I always thought he deserved a chance with us and hated that we sold him rather than keep loaning him out until he showed how good he was
  10. Fulham can get a goal in this second half if they can improve their final pass. They’ve been in some really good areas and continue to mess up the last action
  11. The whole thing needs a rethink. I mean it works for offsides (mainly!) because it’s a factual decision. When you have subjective calls being reviewed by one person on a monitor, it doesn’t do anything to reinforce the original call as it’s always going to be subjective interpretation
  12. VAR needs to change to a committee model - 5 people look at the decision and the majority rule wins
  13. I really don’t understand how they can look at that tackle and think it’s anything other than a dive by Nunez
  14. I’d have him here as a squad player for £10m or so
  15. Barca fans seem to think he’s been key for them this season
  16. I’d start him and leave Isak on the bench to either replace him or come on out wide if we need a bigger attacking threat. Can’t see see us playing anything other than the Willock and Joelinton left side combo if Longstaff is fit
  17. I don’t see us spending £70m+ on the guy as much as he fits in with our style of play.
  18. Thuram looks like he’d be perfect to play the Longstaff role
  19. They only thing that has me shaky is that Liverpool play another two games at home before we play again. I’d prefer that they don’t win them both so that there’s less pressure against Arsenal
  20. Liverpool can easily get more than we did last week
  21. I can’t believe how bad Spurs are

    Anthony Gordon

As I said earlier in the first half, I thought he played well and could have easily had an assist or a goal to his name. He was actually our only threat in the first half. My opinion hasn’t changed since when we were first linked with him. He’s a solid addition to the team with potential to be a good Premier League player for many years. But he doesn’t look to have the qualities to become an elite player (I hope I’m proven wrong with a pre season under Eddie and the team). He’s also not helped by the transfer fee, but that’s an English league issue where it takes more money to buy decent players because most top flight clubs are financially secure and don’t need to sell. I mean the difference in quality from Isak compared to Gordon for what a £15m ish difference in price tag is quite stark - that’s not meant to be a dig at Gordon in any way.
  23. Southampton defend so badly. If you put any pressure on them they crumble, lose all shape and discipline. They’re down for sure
  24. You could see the goal or at least a great chance coming for them. They’ve been really quick on the break and have a lot of pace
