He’s off here…
-
I miss big Joe already
-
It’s just adding extra games to the season for no reason whatsoever. And if you finish in the playoff positions, that gives you an extra two matches just to make the last 16. That’s what, 17 games to win the competition if you finish 9th in the league - crazy
-
UEFA caving in then by creating a modified version of the ESL which will benefit the so called elite teams
-
I wonder how they’re going to work out the draw for the 8 matches in the 36 team league. I’d assume top seeds face only the lower seeds so they are guaranteed a last 16 spot. I just don’t see that making the competition more enjoyable for anybody
-
Yesterday’s game highlighted the lack of squad depth and the need for 4-6 top quality signings. I felt we needed to make changes to freshen things up in the second half, but there was just nobody on the bench you could trust to come on and do the job we needed
-
Missed the word ‘effectively’ there, but you get my point. They’ll be all but down if they are 5 and 4 points behind with only 6 points available.
-
Leicester can even be relegated before we play them if Leeds and Everton get a result. That doesn’t seem so crazy given that Leeds play West Ham (who don’t care about the league season anymore) and Everton play Wolves (who are on holiday)
-
What a performance tonight! I don’t really get the hype over this Caciedo and watching him tonight I still don’t. If he’s worth over £70m then how much is Joelinton worth
-
Yeah I’d keep Wilson on
-
Yeah they’ve run themselves into the ground and really should be out of sight by now
-
I’d take Wilson off as I don’t think he’s contributing enough - problem is I don’t trust anyone else to come now with the game so close
-
I’m very worried right now because we really should have at least 4 goals and they’re right back in this
-
I really want Isak up top. He’s no good to us having to track back. Wilson hasn’t been at it tonight as well
-
Great half - well and truly on top and deserved the two goal gap at least. I can’t see Brighton being this bad in the second half though
-
Surely Willock takes that on his right foot….
-
Need a big shift from Almiron tonight
-
Have we been linked with Gundogan? I feel like he’s someone we should be in for with a Top 4 finish. Probably a bit early in our development, but what a player he is
-
I’d just prefer that we don’t overpay for a player that another team wants to get rid of. Let’s wait it out and get him for a decent fee
-
I’d be upset if we spent £30m on Tierney. I rate him highly, but the lack of game time and injury history surely means we don’t go near him for that much…. I want us to move away from the overpaying Chris Wood type signing which I’d liken this transfer
-
Every single pundit I’ve watched over the last few weeks (Sky, BT, ESPN, BBC) keeps saying Liverpool have no chance of closing the gap and yet they’re very much in the running. I’m still confident in us getting the points needed, but it’s never been or going to be as cut and dry as they’ve made it out to be
-
I still think Liverpool beat Villa, but it will tighter than tonight’s shambles from Leicester. We have to beat Brighton purely because Liverpool will more than likely be above us by the time we play next if we don’t
-
I’d start Murphy ahead of Almiron on the right and ASM ahead of Gordon on the left. I really wish we hadn’t setup with Isak and Wilson from the start in the last two games as I just don’t think it works by shifting Isak to the left. I want him up the pitch impacting the forward play and not having to track back
-
I’d much prefer them to come unstuck against Leicester on Monday night and then we get past Brighton - don’t think I can take the nerves if they get to one point behind us before Thursday!
-
You know what really irritates me about him is the runs he makes into space through the lines. They’re really good runs and he’s always in a position to receive the ball in a dangerous area, but when he gets the ball, he doesn’t do anything with it. Then the move breaks down and you can’t understand why he was given the ball in the first place - it’s so frustrating
