  1. You just can’t see them sticking with Potter if they keep losing games no matter what they say about the new ownership not jumping the gun
  2. I’d book it if only £30. I mean I’m about an hour walking to Wembley Stadium and already thinking about the journey end of February…

    Joelinton

Alongside the Zouma cat kicking comment and this, I’m in stitches. Bad decision by big Joe and hopefully it will be dealt with properly and he’ll learn from it
  4. I think under our system and coaching, he’d be brilliant for us. But I’d be after him and somebody else
  5. I’d be proper disappointed with Lo Celso as the midfielder arriving
  6. Would be pretty shit luck to draw Man Utd now really
  7. Southampton have been brilliant so far and deserve to get through
  8. More nervous watching this Southampton game (than ours yesterday) because it opens up the draw so much if they can hold on here
  9. I get the argument of having to beat the best team at some stage, but I’d rather than we only have to play one of the remaining two ‘top’ teams. Forest in the semis and then whoever in the final is what I’d be looking for
  10. Especially when you look at the draw Sheffield Wednesday got and that one of the top 2 teams in the country right now will be out in round 5
  11. Seems strange that there’s not option at the end of it. I guess sometimes it can work out and sometimes agreeing a fee in advance is silly. A good example with Chelsea right now is the Denis Zakaria loan. The option to buy him for £27m seems like a bit of a bargain to me once the loan is done
  12. Agreed, it just feels really big tonight and I’m full of excitement and nervous energy this morning. I’m confident that we will get through, but I think it’s going to be a tough one. Just want us in the semi final hat so that we can sit back enjoy tomorrow’s games

    Alexander Isak

In the games he’s played so far, it clear to me that’s he got top quality movement. We just haven’t yet worked out how to play to this as one of his strengths. Plenty of times already you’ve seen him he peel off his man, make an intelligent run or even just a small movement here or there that creates space - we just haven’t had the time to work it out as a team

Pleased that he got 45 minutes under his belt. Would’ve been great if he managed to put one of those great chances away just to get him back up and running straightaway
  15. I can understand the stick he takes, but I really just want it to work out for him here and I’d say most of do as well. He’s just got so much raw talent and it would be disappointing if he doesn’t achieve what he can with a team like us on an upward trajectory. Hopefully he keeps working hard and gets back in the side, willing to do the hard running and defensive stuff and ready to make an impact going forward
  16. He’s just got so much class and I just hope we can get some better quality players around him in the next two windows. His ability is wasted here without more movement and skill in and around him
  17. I actually didn’t think we played that badly and on another day we get four or five given the chances created
  18. We had to lose sometime and happy it was to Sheffield Wednesday given how they tried to play the game

  20. Don’t think he’s been the worst on the pitch for us today
  21. I agree that it’s not great viewing, but I don’t put this down as Saudi Arabia sports washing. To me this is just the shit we will have to do now to get sponsors that pay well
  22. That will be around £450m spent since the summer - crazy
  23. The winning run had to come to an end sometime and still an amazing 2022 for the team. We lacked the killer instinct today, but we’ll learn from it and get better against teams that play like Leeds did. I thought it would be against Arsenal that would stop the run and then we’d go on another similar sequence, but who knows
  24. Exactly. The worse thing about football in this country is that you have to have money to compete which in turn allows you to get better and become successful. But everything is skewed against those sides that don’t have the wealth and success is kept for those already at the top
