Some really good players on that free transfer list - their agents will be making a lot of money this summer
-
True. My (made up) belief is that he was told Southgate straight and that’s why Southgate wasn’t bothered when asked the question about him being in New York. I’d like to think people can have these conversations in football, but who knows
-
Rashford will play for sure. It’s fairly obvious he pulled out of the England squad purely just to rest and take a break. He’s played a lot of games in a such short space of time this year so I have no issue with ‘knock’ he’s carrying to get out of international duty
-
I watched Urgarte in the second leg of the Arsenal v Sporting game and he was top level. Even the second yellow he got in extra time was because his game was non stop flying into tackles trying to break up play. Not sure on his sending off record, but I’m sure that can be managed

I’d disagree with your 2/10 rating, but that’s why television (like football) is great because it divides taste and therefore opinion. All the shows you mentioned are great - although I’d say Breaking Bad was extremely overhyped in my view which is similar to your point on Sunny I guess
-
It’s clearly not mate. I’d acknowledge that it’s silly, exaggerated humour, but I think it offers some charm and the characters are great
-
Another reason why this international break is daft. You just can’t halt the league season at end of March and expect players and clubs not to find a way to use it as a time to rest. I know they need to find space for the fixtures, but it just doesn’t work at this late stage in the league campaign

That’s why I’m still annoyed about the Ayew tackle on Schar from Friday night. It was a scissor tackle from behind and he didn’t get the ball. It was a clear red card and Schar was extremely lucky he did not have a serious injury as a result. The referee and VAR brush it off because it’s only two minutes into the game. Not sure on the rules, but if the referee gives him a yellow, does it then mean VAR can check if the card needs to be upgraded?
-
I’d be happy with bringing him in as an extra body, but I doubt he’d want to be a bench player
-
The next 6 games for us are a tough run in and that’s what I think Neville is getting at in terms on the experience of managing that type of situation. I’m more interested in how we cope with the three away games in a week. It didn’t work out great last year when we had the same thing, but we’re a different side now so I’m expecting us to get some good points there
-
Yeah I’m still raging about the referring and the way Forest went about that game. So glad we got the win that was deserved
-
Why haven’t they mentioned the amount time wasting going on. If it’s us, then they talk about it
-
Happy we’ve gone in level. I’m still so angry with the officiating in that half - it’s quite possibly the worse 45 minutes I’ve ever seen. I can’t understand how they only have one yellow card
-
My god
-
Got to get a goal early here and they’ll crumble
-
It’s actually unbelievable how bad those two tackles haven’t been carded. I can’t get over the Ayew one, it’s a leg breaker and it’s just been brushed over
-
That’s a red card tackle - I’m stunned

‘On the rare occasion Murphy does start, Newcastle’s underlying metrics improve across every department. Newcastle are unbeaten (five wins and one draw), score more goals (2.67 to 1.48), concede fewer (0.67 to 0.72), win more frequently (win ratio of 83.3 per cent, compared to 44.0 per cent) and collect a higher number of points per game (2.67 to 1.76)’ Those are crazy stats although such a small sample size
-
I’d be very happy if we signed one or two of these Sporting players. Some real talent in the team and they also play our style of football too
-
They’re in a proper relegation battle right now with some really tricky games for them coming up as well. That small gap they have could be almost gone by the end of the weekend
-
Brighton could really get 4th place this year. They’ve been great all season and are just a brilliantly coached side - so much better this year than Spurs and it’s crazy how they’re not above them already
-
Pope giving me continuously small heart attacks every time he has the ball
-
Been impressed with Murphy today

For me I think the Europa Conference League is not worth messing up your schedule and rhythm in the season. It doesn’t really offer you elite competition and I assume the sponsorship / tv money is poor for the amount of strain it puts on the team. I’m a fan of the Europa League because it has a lot of top sides entering each year and also offers the avenue of Champions League qualification as a winner

Completely forget they have missed Diaz for the whole season - that’s some depth upfront
