I doubt we go for Tielemans because he’s not athletic enough for us. The reason why we are linked with McTominay is because he will run all day for his side. There’s a difference in quality on the ball between the two for sure, but I think our style of play requires energy and pace and Tielemans doesn’t offer that

Looking at those fixtures, Leicester and Forest could really struggle. Leicester have some winnable home games, but imagine them not winning one of the next two home games in a row, that would bring huge pressure. I guess that’s why Rogers has gone because they need a result. Forest don’t win away so only really have two winnable home games left

I really want him to shine with us, but he needs to get himself fully fit for that to happen. A good pre-season will help in that regard. I like that he acknowledged that he’s a different player under Howe and realises that he has to defend. I think that structure has harmed his game although he’s clearly trying to improve tactically

l think we’d only be tempted to only look abroad when the release clauses are available and not too large. For example, I’d go for Urgarte from Sporting who reportedly has a clause of around €50m. That would be good value to me as I think he goes for a lot more than that if he signs a new deal
