No way Pulisic ends up with us as much as I would love it to happen. He will consider himself an elite level player that should be playing for a champions league side.

I’m get the impression that Eddie would have Maddison over him and would rather we spent the extra money on bringing him in or just focus on other positions

I would have played Botman today purely because you’d want him on the pitch for Liverpool and City. Surely the easing in process starts today

Fair point, but I just don’t think he is what the team needs right now. We need to get the forward line sorted first and get some more pace out wide and centrally. He’d work well in the centre of a midfield three, but in my opinion, it’s more important to get the players around someone like a Maddison first

It’s probably only me here who thinks that he’d be a waste of money. Obviously he’s a good player, but I’d be aiming higher than him if we are going to be spending more than £40m

I’d be happy with Harrison for £10-15m, but that ain’t going to happen considering Leeds have sold their best two players and don’t need the money

This deal for some reason is pretty depressing to me more than others this summer. It’s a clear realisation of how these financial restrictions are going to hamper any real growth we can achieve or certainly at the pace that others have been allowed in the past. I’m not saying that Philips would have chosen us over City, but to not even be in the running (because we are essentially not allowed to spend the wealth we now have) to try and sign a player like him is just very frustrating

Obviously Eriksen is a top player, but I’m not sure where he fits in. I would have thought that we got in Bruno for his type of role. I guess a free transfer makes sense in terms of budget, but I’d be hoping he’s just an extra player on top of four or five being brought in

My thinking too, the Shelvey position is a very important one. I actually think Wilson is perfect for us up top and if he wasn’t so injury prone, I wouldn’t want him replaced.

I rate Pope and think it’s a sensible signing if we are thinking that we need to replace as Dubravka right now, but I don’t think this should be our focus right now

I’m happy that Targett was signed up quickly because starting the season with at least the settled team has to be a positive. Obviously we need to add some more quality and that will come

This is where fair value is bollocks - £20m to me seems fair given the size of the club and the project ahead of us. It’s not like we are trying to push through a £70m deal like a Man Utd of Liverpool would. The whole thing is nonsense

Doubt either will happen because the club is focussed on reducing the age of the squad - it doesn’t make sense to add these two when they’re 30, even if they’re on a free

Throw in Paqueta as well and then you have a deal

I’d be happy with Wilson our main upfront option because I think he’s top class. The only thing with him is that we have to account for the fact that he will get injured for a sustained period of time and having Wood and Ekitike as the backup options doesn’t really inspire ….
