  1. He speaks very well and is also saying the things that we want to hear about the type of signings we will aim for - but I guess he’s just like every other journalist speculating
  2. If he’s one of two new centre backs coming in with Botman / Badiashile being the younger player we spend money on, then it’s very sensible business
  3. Let’s just buy both of them
  4. I’d be happy with that for sure
  5. I can’t describe how much I loved Sir Bobby
  6. Imagine getting Philips and Raphinha in for a combined £60m - other clubs would go mental
  7. I think he’s getting better at passing the ball, he’s just not the best at it. The same could be said of many of our current squad though
  8. Would rather have Raphinha here myself. I guess we may be in with a shout of either of them depending on which side goes down
  9. Yeah Everton are on the brink if they don’t win tomorrow. The only thing saving them from complete disaster right now is that Leeds probably won’t get any points until Everton play an already relegated Watford away and by that time it could be one point between them
  10. There’s no need for him to return this season. I’m pretty sure we were told that his type of injury is one that requires rest and the longer that he leaves it, the better it is
  11. Agreed. My opinion for a number of years has been that the league is extremely open if you take out Liverpool and Manchester City. Obviously the other sides historically finishing at the top end of the table are ahead of us, but I think the 4 - 8 positions are something we can easily end up challenging sooner rather than later
  12. It’s fascinating to see the different tactical approaches taken by both managers of the two Spanish sides going to two best teams in the world right now. Madrid just went punch for punch with City, whereas Villarreal (I know they aren’t the same calibre as Madrid) have just come and stuck everyone behind the ball. Both completely different approaches look as though they will have worked after the first leg
  13. I think he would make us better and we can use our funds on other positions
  14. I still think we should go in for Origi this summer
  15. I suspect we will be close to spending £90m on just a central defender and striker this summer
  16. I love watching him do that roll throughout the whole game
  17. It’s goal and a bit mad that they try to get the frame rate spot on when it’s not possible
  18. Happy for Shelvey to stay in the group (he has surprised us all by the upturn in form this year), but he needs to be replaced with someone far more athletic to help kick us on next season
  19. I know what you mean. I’m 35 this year and my new hero to worship is a 24 year old Brazilian lad. That would be somewhat strange in another walk of life…
  20. He’s a far better 3rd choice option than Dwight Gayle in my opinion. Let’s hope we get that top level striker in with Wilson and Wood coming off the bench
  21. And we will need better quality players to do that. I really think this team as is would finish in the top 10 next season. Europe would be a possibility with some top quality added in the summer across the squad
  22. I have always been a huge fan of Wilson, but he is made of glass and can’t be relied upon. We need three top players in the central spine of the team (defender, midfielder and striker). A top quality striker arriving to take the starting spot is essential with Wilson and Wood coming off the bench
  23. Man Utd are just an awful side
