  1. Jonathan David would be perfect for us. He can play across the front line, has skill and pace and is young enough to understand the project we have on offer here.
  2. I have watched him a few times this season and he reminds me of a left footed Titus Bramble
  3. That last sentence speaks volumes - the type of ambition that we have missed. “We can think about the Champions League and becoming a contender. I came here to win and we will turn Newcastle into a winning club,”
  4. VAR doesn’t have a clue. How can they not get a penalty for that when they conceded one against Spurs in the same way
  5. I really don’t think Everton need any more points. I can’t see Burnley getting anything from Villa away and we should really be losing to them ourselves on the last day
  6. Somehow I don’t see them accepting a loan deal from us given how they screwed over Lingard in January
  7. I’m confident that we will be in the Champions League by the time the new reforms have come into play. That’s the 2024/25 season and I think by then we will have had two full seasons to sort ourselves and show the ambition that Bruno has suggested.
  8. We should looking at someone of his age and ability in the summer, but he’s on loan from Dortmund so we have no chance
  9. He’s far better for the team when he’s not the only source of our attack. He adds a completely different dimension to our play and when he’s not got three players around him constantly he’s a great asset
  10. The 4-4-1-1 works with Wilson or Ekitike in front of Paqueta with Bruno with Philips (new DM) sat behind them
  11. He mentioned Aaron Hickey from Bologna as someone we are seriously looking at, but I guess all the top clubs would be circling as he has a bright future
  12. He speaks very well and is also saying the things that we want to hear about the type of signings we will aim for - but I guess he’s just like every other journalist speculating
  13. If he’s one of two new centre backs coming in with Botman / Badiashile being the younger player we spend money on, then it’s very sensible business
  14. Let’s just buy both of them
  15. I’d be happy with that for sure
  16. I can’t describe how much I loved Sir Bobby
  17. Imagine getting Philips and Raphinha in for a combined £60m - other clubs would go mental
  18. I think he’s getting better at passing the ball, he’s just not the best at it. The same could be said of many of our current squad though
  19. Would rather have Raphinha here myself. I guess we may be in with a shout of either of them depending on which side goes down
  20. Yeah Everton are on the brink if they don’t win tomorrow. The only thing saving them from complete disaster right now is that Leeds probably won’t get any points until Everton play an already relegated Watford away and by that time it could be one point between them
  21. There’s no need for him to return this season. I’m pretty sure we were told that his type of injury is one that requires rest and the longer that he leaves it, the better it is
  22. Agreed. My opinion for a number of years has been that the league is extremely open if you take out Liverpool and Manchester City. Obviously the other sides historically finishing at the top end of the table are ahead of us, but I think the 4 - 8 positions are something we can easily end up challenging sooner rather than later
  23. It’s fascinating to see the different tactical approaches taken by both managers of the two Spanish sides going to two best teams in the world right now. Madrid just went punch for punch with City, whereas Villarreal (I know they aren’t the same calibre as Madrid) have just come and stuck everyone behind the ball. Both completely different approaches look as though they will have worked after the first leg
  24. I think he would make us better and we can use our funds on other positions
  25. I still think we should go in for Origi this summer
