  1. I guess the PL argument can simply use the line that they gave NUFC / buyers a warning that the ownership submission would be rejected so gave them time to change it. They did not need to pass or fail it because the buyers then withdrew
  2. I’d rather have Shelvey....
  3. The deal was all over the press and anyone that looked found out the Saudis were involved
  4. I tend to watch every game we play (don’t ask me why!) and I can confidently say that we have been shite for nearly all of the two years under this guy. It changed about three months ago when we stepped it up a bit, but even then, the performances aren’t anything to shout about

I’m actually thinking it makes sense to send him on loan for another year. He’s been fantastic for us and that would make it seem like he would get into the Arsenal side, but he really needs a season playing every match and not in and out of the team at Arsenal
  6. They will certainly keep Bruce in charge. It happens often with this type of takeover scenario. But the first standard Bruce style horrible run with see him gone
  7. Seems plausible. I think it’s more complicated around the separation thing because the PL were meant to fail or pass owners that were put forward according to their own rules. Instead they seem to have said that ‘we don’t believe what you are saying so we will not do anything with the information’
  8. Apologies if I have missed it, has that been confirmed or is it speculation? We have all seen the letter and says things about the ‘Saudis stealing money from your club’, so it seems plausible that this has been sent to all teams
  9. I would love him here, but Abraham would want guaranteed playing time and that would only happen here when Wilson is injured.
  10. What is this with Richard Keys that everyone refers to as evidence? I get that he works for BeIN, but I have obviously missed what the hairy bugger was saying last year about us.
  11. That’s where my positive thinking comes in here. I just don’t see how they can argue that they acted fairly when all things are considered. I also find it funny how they argue about shadow influence, when it’s quite clear to everyone that BeIN and the Big Six exerted influence on the PL process. I’m thinking that when the season ends, some serious conversations will take place to stop this continuing to drag on through an anti competition case.
  12. The shadow control thing always confuses me. You could argue that there’s so many different people that exert control over the business and I don’t see how you test this. It’s obvious to me (and anyone that has followed this thing over the last year) that they are using this to try and link everything to piracy
  13. That’s a really well written letter I have to say and I never saw it last year. It really leaves me in no doubt that we have been royally fucked over here. PIF is a separate legal entity according to the laws in place and it is operated for the benefit of the KSA, but not by the KSA. That’s the public business line and how the PL can presume this is wrong is based on no actual evidence. This whole thing is just laughable and there’s clearly cloak and dagger bollocks going on here

I just can’t see Arsenal loaning him out now, let alone selling him. Hope we can get something done because he’s badly needed for next season
  15. But how do you prove a secret meeting? We all believe something underhand went on, but the evidence needs to be clear and I’m not sure it is - surely it would be done by now.
  16. We really have had some very good players in the last 15 years. Shame the coaching set up, squad depth and general infrastructure development matched the limited ambition of the owner
  17. We are going to be stuck with this guy aren’t we....
  18. Isn’t the only actual hard evidence that we know of the letter from BeIN urging the other 19 clubs to reject the takeover? Hopefully we have some other written proof that other individuals wanted it rejected, but you’d think nobody would be daft enough to leave a paper trail
  19. He’s like all our best players, they would look a lot better in a team that sees more of the ball and isn’t always working off scraps
  20. But we can never be certain that there is any actual evidence that would make them squirm the way we all want. That’s the main issue with being positive, we don’t really know anything other than what the selling side has been saying. For all we know, the PL has followed the rules to the letter and they are not worried. I still believe the takeover can happen because I just find it farcical that it has been stopped based on a technicality of shadow influence / control.
  21. The only credit Bruce deserves is that he managed to turn the results around after Brighton. But that was more down to individual brilliance than anything he influenced. We have been an absolutely terrible team at the best of times over the last two years and lucky to be considered mid-table. The players signed have been purchased over his head and he had no say in them. Maybe you could say Wilson was his choice, but I am pretty sure Rafa wanted to sign him for many years and Bruce just benefited from a relegation price

I think they can be convinced to send him out on loan again next year
