5, 3, 2 would sacrifice the wingers no. With Trippier and Target giving more width. Bruno, Joe, Wilock in MF, Maddison off Wilson? Just a thought, also Botman/Schar would be encouraged to bring the ball out from the back.

8th right now. Couple of Bruno level additions up top and I'd say 5th/6th.

Love this man! He has every single player giving 110% for the shirt, the effort, commitment and workmate is amazing to see. Not to mention the shape and turn around in certain players is frightening. Hope he's here and successful for a very long time - class act!

I'd rather do a raffle and start a random fan every game than him. Might be more entertaining too! -

Ashley levels of shite, this! -
Just watched some clips of this lad that we're linked to, Kamaldeen Sulemana. Super exciting, young, rapid and technical. Also the amount of times he presses the ball and wins it back is exactly how Howe has us set up. Something Maxi refuses to do also. I'd rather we spend 25-30m on him than some of the fees being banded around for Harrison and the like. Would love us to add some genuine pace out wide to scare the shit out of the opposition.

Not much new from watching that. Solid back line, decent in the middle, minus an attacking playmaker. Wings are piss poor. Minus Wilson, we're championship up top. Need a Young, Pacy CF, Right winger who can play football with end product. Midfielder who can unlock a defence. Paqueta, Diaby and Dennis would do. Side note. Anderson should be in the squad and Murphy and Almiron should be left in Austria. -
I'm here... Striker on Loan - someone good enough to cover Wilson with Pace and Power. Dennis would do. Winger - Sarr would be a decent buy if we can't get Diaby. Then spunk the rest on Bruno's best mate and watch the beautiful Brazilians turn on the samba football. I'd Start: Pope Trippier Target Botman Schar Joe Bruno Paqueta Maxi Sarr Wilson That with Eddie at the reign and some luck with injury would get us top 8. Elliot / Fraser / Miggy to Cover wings, Wood & Dennis to cover Wilson, Shelvey, Longstaff to cover the middle. Let's go! It's Phase 1.

What makes you think that, just out of curiosity? He tends to win most of his duals on the edge of his own box...
-
I used to think we definitely needed a DM behind Bruno. However, with Botman and Burn/Schar clearly being asked to engage higher and Pope sweeping, I think we could play Bruno deeper and let Joe break up and engage/press the opponent midfield higher, allowing Paqueta to drift more. Just a thought, it would a shame to lose out on someone of such ability, but I trust Howe to know what he's after.
-
I think that would end up even more of a disaster than Castore. There are issues with Production pipelines and Castore are clearly struggling to manage the demand NUFC has. They are not quality checking to the level they should I order to make up time. It's sloppy but not even the big boys are struggling now, so it's kinda expected.

Think it makes sense to get a loan for the CF position. Ideally Wilson will stay fit, and Wood will be used in certain games - Howe just spent 25 mil on him. I'd take Broja.. But I'd pass on Lingard. I'd rather play Elliot more or buy Sarr tbh.

Sven Botman: could return vs Ipswich (Tindall)
Oregon_Geordie replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
If he does indeed sign, its gonna be great to see an imposing but talented back 4/5. All of Trippier, Targett, Burn, Schar and Batman are great on the ball but with Pope's advantage on crosses, and Burn/Botman or both, we'll be no push over. Talent and Muscle! -
Fucking hell. This world!

I'm here. I don't want players that don't want to be here. And, more importantly, I trust the set up now to get the players we need, then coach them as a unit. People have short memories it seems. Trust the process - it beats taking Kuqi on loan!

Gazza for me, I used to train at Benwell as a kid and he was about 18-19. He actually went on a date with my sis! He was always turning up late for training in an old Ford Cortina, socks rolled down, shorts pulled up, big thighs, greased hair - cool as fuck! Remember going to one of my first games with my Mam, Milburn Paddock, he was another level. Did like Ned Kelly too

Can we just move on. I agree Milan are the larger more glamorous pick. But I don't want us being a back up. If he does not want to come then he can fuck off - go get someone that is jumping to join us. -

The Real Deal. Exciting times -
Maxi has a lot to learn. But I'd not be selling him yet. I'd love to see him, Wilson and the New Lad with Bruno, Paqueta and Big Joe. Plus a couple more that Eddie is after. Agree we should be moving on Miggy well before Maxi.

Delighted. If complete Young, Gifted and Black and White!
