  1. All the journos (and Keith) are reporting the same things, just with slightly different spin. - Buyer and seller still pushing - Relegation may or may not be a problem - Peace in the ME paves the way - Arbitration may or may not render ME relations irrelevant Manorpark doesn’t know it’s on, Fantail doesn’t know it’s off. Put your cans away for now but divvent shit the bed.
  2. It's because he fell out with Shearer on his way out the door and that was a cardinal sin in the eyes of many, thus when he returned as an opposition player he got jeered. I was always on Bellamy's side though. He was consistently one of Bobby's best players and used to run his knackers off every game. He didn't deserve any s*** from our fans and I can understand why he'd feel hard done by. The only villain of the piece is that boring Scottish s***-for-brains who didn't know how to manage difficult personalities like Craig. The genius of Bobby shines through again.
  3. If you don't believe Amanda still wants to buy the club you'd have to believe that Caulkin is either a complete liar or has been lied to by mutiple conspiring parties and is naive enough to believe it. The simplest answer is that Amanda does still want to buy the club but there are still a load of obstacles in the way. Jacobs' summary of the situation today makes complete sense in relation to everything that's unfolded so far. Amanda might still want to buy the club, a bit like how I might want to have sex with joeyt[/member]. It doesn’t mean it will happen, or is close to happening. We both have a lot of obstacles to overcome and some might not even be possible. Lots of people are saying she doesn't. They think she's dossing about on a beach somewhere while Caulkin and Jacobs make s*** up for clicks. My only point is that I think she is still trying to buy the club. The rest of what you've said might be right.

  5. For an established novelist? I don't think so.
  6. And in that club there was a room, And in that room there was a man, And in that man there was a brain, And in that brain there was fuck all...
  7. Steven Morris Bruce Dec 1960 - Jul 2021 C.O.D - Heart Attack Best known for being the man who cost NUFC the greatest takeover in world football history
  8. I reckon that's probably an accurate assessment of the situation from Jacobs. Willing buyer, willing seller, 2 or 3 major hurdles. The deal isn't 100% on or off.
  9. Nowt has changed since January - The club's not for sale (because they have a buyer) - Relegation might bollocks things up - KSA and PIF are the same thing - The Prince is a bit of a git - Arbitration hasn't properly started yet - Amanda still wants to buy the club We already know all of this. It's not time to soil your Solomon Grundies yet.
  10. Postive signs, 500 games, quietly confident, dust, sleeves, socks and dust again. 3-0 West Brom

He’s shit. Weak as water in the challenge, like Diana Ross in front of goal, usually loses the ball and worst of all, he simply cannot be arsed. For his stinking attitude alone, I’d never let him anywhere near the first team.
  12. Excellent analysis there by Carragher. Maybe Hayden deserves slightly more slack for the Wolves goal. Was getting pelters for it from what I seen but he had to watch Traore as we had no right back. p*ss poor by the management/team Surprising though. You wouldn’t think having two managers, each with their own ideas and who hate each other, would lead to any confusion.
  13. Believing that the gods of the ancients could’ve been aliens is least unusual thing about him.
  14. Another one the Geordies hated because he was from London... Being a bit too young to have seen him as a player, I remember him with the fondness I do Chris Hughton. An all round gentleman who came in at a difficult time and gave the club a lift. The 4-1 away to the mackems was probably his finest hour. You may remember Kevin Ball jumping round like a knobhead right in front of our dugout when they scored. Glenn celebrated his four in his typical reserved dignified way. RIP Glenn
  15. If it is, then you need to think about what is is that Nick de Marco is trying to do. I don't believe it's just to get compensation for Ashley and nothing else. It most likely is just about Ashley compo, but if they string the fans along it keeps them off his back and makes him look like he’s doing what he can to leave. It will get interesting if we go down. Ashley will want the loss of asking price or costs to get us back up. He won’t let that go and I don’t blame him. We go down it’s because we’ve become more of a zombie club than ever before, and we have the PL to thank for that. He'd get laughed out of court for blaming relegation on the PL, and rightly so. This relegation is solely on him and nobody else. As far as I am concerned this takeover is dead and buried now. DeMarco is there to get compensation and embarrass the PL. Nothing more in it than that. Based on what? All the best sources we have - Keith, Caulkin, Kennedy, Jacobs - think that Amanda is still trying to buy the club and they all agree that the legal proceedings are not limited to Fat Mike getting compensation. Even De Marco's own comments the other day suggest that this is not about compensation. He said, speaking in general terms, "Arbitration is risky so it's best to try and reach a deal without the need for it". Which seems more likely to you?: 1) George and Keith have contact with the buyers, albeit limited, and they know enough to know the deal is alive. or 2) George Caulkin is a pathological liar and is willing to destroy his well-earned reputation as the #1 NUFC journalist for twitter likes. Keith is also flat out lying and is willing to destroy his credibility as a local businessman. I don't think either of them are lying. I think they are being fed lies by Ashley and the buyers. What do you think Amanda's motivation for lying about this would be? Personally, I'd do Keith and George the favour of saying I don't think either of them are that stupid. However, if you think everyone who knows something has been lied to, then I'm afraid I've no comeback. I'm not in a position to disprove a speculative conspiracy theory. The whole takeover saga has been one gigantic conspiracy theory man. Caulkin was blatantly suckered by the buyers last summer. Which is why he has wislely said almost nothing ever since. I feel almost feel sorry for the Keith fella tbh. He is now coming across as someone who had no idea what he was getting into and it's all now way above his head. He put out an article a few weeks ago, quoting the buyers as saying, "We'll get it done", and, "Relegetaion would be a pain in the arse." I think simplest explanation is that Amanda is still trying to buy the club, there are complications standing in the way and it may or may not happen. No conspiracy needed.
  16. It looks to me like Steve says, "Just fuck off". Jones then says, "What?", alas less aggressively than Steve Austin used to. I hope they hate each other but I'm not convinced we're actually looking at them arguing. Unfortunately.

If his leg wasn't Bruced, Schar would be a superior option up front. Not even joking.
  20. He’ll be in the bath with it as we speak Can just picture him getting in to be greeted with this. Nee eye contact: "No Steve, don't bring the offal to bed. Not tonight." Looks more like Steve than his wife
  21. Would any one apart from the staunch few really be surprised if this was the case? I'm on team Keith and I wouldn't be surprised if it was off. Not one whit. After all, we are Newcastle United. However, everything we do know, from slightly more substantiated sources than Neesy's, is that Amanda Stavely is still trying to buy us. Until we get the official word to say otherwise, I will never understand why people claim with certainty that it's off. It reminds me of those debates Dawkins and Hitchens used to do with the theists a few years back. Two blokes arguing over something we don't know the answer to.
  22. I was at a talkin when Bruce was makem manager and he said he was going to play "who let the dogs out" he also said he detested Ashley and Lambshite. Interesting. Did the mackems used to sing that or something? Or was he going for a Freddy Shepherd in Gibraltar reference?
  23. When we beat the mackems 5-1 the stadium music man put Sleepy Jean on for the crowd to sing along to. Cheer up Steve Bruce, Oh what can it be?, To a cretinous cabbage-headed b******... or something like that. Anyway, when the away fixture came around Steve warned in his pre-match press conference that he'd prepared a little song of his own for the Newcastle fans as a revenge dish. We drew the game 1-1 and then shortly after that the useful fat arse boil was given his habitual sacking. I always wanted to know what song he'd picked out. Any guesses?
