40,100 I'm sure the commentator when mentioning the FA Cup match before, he said about us having 7,000 fans
-
He actually only played 31 games for Sunderland and played more games for Bradford.

I remember against Man U in the 3 - 2 defeat (game that possibly saved Ferguson the sack) getting moved in the east stand towards the gallowgate from my season ticket in the centre of the stand. -

That thread is possibly going quicker than the two threads for when the takeover was initially blocked and then when the takeover occurred . The meltdown is epic -

Skunks on their message board saying that as they gave Cambridge 5000 we should be giving them a bigger allocation. how thick do you have to be to equate a game against Cambridge to a Tyne Wear derby game. Thick as whale spunk. Some of them clearly haven't a clue what they are walking into. who the fuck do they think they are -

It's a cup tie all teams get increased allocations, we gave 5,000 to Cambridge two years ago. They're absolutely bricking it. In a cup tie there are usually season ticket holders moved to other areas. Your season ticket is for league games only. The absolute meltdown over there (44 pages) now is glorious. -

They are planning anti Saudi and sportwashing displays to be included. If he has donated to that, then I can see our owners taking that up with the FA. -

They have no right to complain it's FA rules and the only thing stopping that is safety concerns. The partially correct allocation (should be 7,000) is allegedly with Northumbria Police to decide. Just because some of their fuckers miss out, then that's just tough shit. It's not like the fuckers sell out any game and their ground was close to only half full just a week ago. -
Almiron needs fucking upgraded asap

Did people not watch his performances in the last two league games up here. He was beyond embarrassing. This thread has been ongoing for over a year based on absolutely fuck all
-
I see they're going on about the 10,000 seat giveaway on there. If someone has access, can they point out to the fuckers that the actual average up to when Ashley give the tickets away, was actually over 46,000; and that throughout their entire history they have only managed to get a bigger average than the 46,000 on three occasions.

I missed two home games (due to illness) from the opening of the East stand until Rafa's last season. I also from 1980 until 2010 went to 80% of away games, until health issues became an issue. The reason I stopped going had nothing to do with loyalty, it was due to one person taking the absolute piss out of the supporters and dismantling a club by a thousand cuts.
-
Personally think it's a tick box exercise as if they just went ahead without any consultation, then they would not only be hammered by the support, but the media also. I do also believe that they would have been looking at the St James expansion possibilities also.
-
I can tell you now that with Saudi owners there is no chance that they will accept that. Our Chairman's very words only a few months ago was that we want to be the number one team in the world. They will explore all the options, but the limitations of expansion at St James and the costs involved for a relatively smallish expansion of the stadium, will result imo, in the owners going for a new stadium. Any expansion will also result in thousands of fans losing their season tickets for a minimum of a season. You can't knock the ground down and rebuild, as again costs involved and catering for 52,000 support is just not good business sense. I'm with TheBrownBottle on this and been a season ticket from the early 70s until Rafas last year. To me the most important things about the club are number 1 the team and secondly the support. When 000s of fans past and present can't get into the ground, then something has to change. A new ground will also result in the team being given the best opportunity to be challenging on all levels. You and some others may disagree and that's fine also. At the end of the day though it's not what you, me or others want, it's the owners who will decide.
-
I honestly would just let him rant on, if he's happy with their model and being stuck in the Championship for years, then that's fine by me.
-
How many % of actual Newcastle fans post on this forum? I would suggest a pretty small percentage. The fan base will keep increasing as we continue to expand and improve. Some might not like that, but that's what's going to happen. The corporate areas also won't just be local firms, there will be national and international firms signing up. It will be the same for the support with additional numbers coming from the rest of the uk and worldwide. If you want to be a top club then this is just the way it is.

I'm super confident, yeah I get the worries about it being a derby, but I just can't see them being able to handle our press and quality. Most of their play comes via the wings and we have too much quality on both sides. This team are 100% committed and play for each other, so any opinions (from their fans) that their players will be up for it, will have no impact whatsoever. -
100% think they will move
-
They're not but they're not stupid either by paying huge amounts when it's not needed.
-
As I also mentioned the cost would be stupid money and not viable
-
It's a no go sharing grounds with another club for a season (maybe more). The only club that could invoke any discussion is Sunderland and that would never happen in a month of Sundays. Before you even look at talking to the FA, Premier League or another club's Executives; it would be blocked straight away by another county's police force, who are not going to accept multi thousands of Newcastle fans into their city on numerous occasions. The bill for that would also be stupid and make it non viable from the start.

Doesn't change the players they have

This survey hints at what I've always thought, that the owners have earmarked a new stadium. Main reasons for this (imo) - cost of extension with limited seats - the amount of people affected whilst extension is built - large increased revenue/commercial opportunities with new stadium (main reason imo) - no other temporary alternative for building new stadium at current location I've always been for a new stadium as long as it's built within the city limits. The length of contract for the new fan zone seems convenient (again imo) to run in conjunction of a new stadium being built. I'm expecting an announcement next year sometime stating that after full exploration into all options, the club will be moving to X location (wouldn't be surprised if it's already agreed) and building a new stadium due to x, y and z.
