He could have had a decent career on the lower league managerial merry go round, but clearly thought that the 'manosphere influencer' market was too lucrative to ignore, but being as thick as he is, he went in two footed not realising that a lot of the guys who've survived in that space so long have been very careful about the vocabulary they use and give themselves a plausible deniablity off-ramp. When you flat out call people nonces and cunts you can't really climb down from that.

Harvey will regret turning down Scotland, I thought it at the time and today confirms it. He was always going to be a provisional squad player at best with England but with Scotland he would likely have been a starter. Of course it's worth taking into account that he might not fee any sentiment towards Scotland but it seems a shame to pass up the opportunity to play in a world cup in front of a great set of fans. Fair play to him for backing his own ability though

Ooof, nae luck ya scummy cunt

They are not a good football team, if we turn up, we win. But therein lies the problem.

Has anybody ever seen TyneBridge1990 and Alex Bruce in the same place at the same time? I'm just asking the questions!

I know it gets said every match day but the conference league is such a mickey mouse tournament. If we qualified for that, the only thing that could stop us winning that would be our own complacency
-
Urgh, really can't be arsed for this. Just win damn it.

Seeing Isak in a Liverpool shirt is as stomach churning as it is heartbreaking But Bruno going to Man Utd would be enough to make me wrap football altogether
-
One thing we both have in common is that the Newcastle result is the most important result of any given match day. One thing we don't have in common is our sexual tendencies towards seagulls.

Of all the problems tonight, he's far down the list, but that doesn't change the fact that he's not good enough to start next season

We've had grossly overpriced strikers We've had unfit strikers We've had washed up strikers We've had strikers who can't score But I don't think we've ever had a grossly overpriced, unfit, washed up striker who can't score. Say what you want about Michael Owen (seriously, say what you want) but he was never 4th choice striker halfway through his first season and was actually a serviceable player for some of his time here

Really can't be arsed with these cunts now after tonight. For any mackem lurkers on here indulging in a bit of schadenfreude, a polite reminder that Harvey Barnes has more Champions League goals this season than your club has European goals throughout it's entire miserable existence

Spending 70m on a striker to replace the best striker we've had since Shearer and he doesn't get on the pitch over 2 legs in a CL knockout tie against Barça and is barely getting any minutes in the league as he's now found himself behind a LW and a raw, unpolished chaos merchant in the pecking order I really want it to work out for him here but there comes a point where you just have to accept that it's likely not going to happen
-
Delighted for him, he took his goals really well. You're still thinking about the bad news aren't you?
-
We stood toe to toe with them for 3/4 halves of football, in those 3 halves we were our own worst enemy by gifting them needless penalties and putting chances on a platter for them. I don't know what the plan was for the 2nd half, Barça just went up to a level we couldn't match and were ruthless. A decent campaign overall, but a very sour note to go out on, hopefully we manage the Europa League next year and go on a deep run

What's fat, sits on a bench and cost 55m?
-
I'm too scunnered to even give a fuck about those mutants right now
-
I know it's a bit too late now, but I've changed my mind about who I wanted our last 16 opponent to be.
-
Not with that attitude you won't!
-
Still......at least Elanga got his goals
-
This is absurd, aye I know Barça are good but we've chucked it Still 20 minutes to go............
-
The scoreline feels very very harsh, but that's what happens when you gift wrap goals for a team like Barça. I can't fault our heart or effort but by God we're not very streetwise are we Edit: ah fucking hell
