    Joe Willock

I feel like us as a team/club are in a similar position now as to what Arsenal were when they sold him to us. He was only young at that point but I wouldn’t say he has progressed to the same level, so as he wasn’t up to it for Arsenal at that time, I feel it’s the same situation with us now, which is unfortunate as I do like him.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Not a rumour as such but Dewbsury Hall free to leave Chelsea, rated him at Leicester. I know CM isn’t a priority but imagine he would be available for a decent fee
  3. Whether we got him on a free or not is irrelevant to his value tbh
  4. So from 1st July are we in a much better position PSR wise to actually spend money?
  5. I think yesterday was a time where Howe, in an ideal world, would have left Gordon on the bench. But if as reported Barnes picked up a knock and had to come off, the only real options were Gordon or Sanusi. At that point the game was 1-1, and I think avoiding extra time was a big factor, so Gordon had to come on really. there are other occasions he could come off sooner or be rested more, but as others have said I think Gordon would want to play every minute possible so I don’t think it will cause any issues.
  6. Thought he played well, looked very keen, made a good run when he rounded the keeper (great ball from Miley too), and great goal. appreciate it was only Bromley, but also important to remember we have only seen him have any real game time in rotated teams, against opposition who have sat back. id be really interested to see how he did with our regular midfield & wingers alongside him, against an opposition that would be less defensive.

    Dan Burn

Been absolutely incredible this season, fair play to him

    St James' Park

Thank you mate appreciate that. Not sure when I will be able to get up but I will drop you a message if I can, thanks again!

    St James' Park

Has anyone ever used the Wings hospitality? feel like it’s my best chance of attending a game, but at £400+ for Fulham at home it feels pricey

    Nick Pope

Genuinely would rather play Oddy than Dubs
  11. Honestly don’t even know what to say anymore

    U23s & Academy

Anyone watch the u18’s tonight? plenty of folk on Twitter raving about a handful of our lads.
  13. It wasn’t great but not a massive error, and there was plenty of opportunity to stop the goal after that point so didn’t mention him
  14. Just watched the 2nd goal again, just as poor from Longstaff and Pope IMO
  15. Very poor for the first goal and had a few nervy moments, but he handled Antonio very well and made a very good tackle second half to stop a possible goal. I’m all for calling out the negatives but let’s not ignore the good things he did too. this is not necessarily a defence of him, as I’d be putting Burn straight back in, but more a point that his performance wasn’t as calamitous as I’m reading online.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Similar mould to Hall & Livramento in that it’s still very much potential, but I’d honestly throw a lot at him for the RW signing we need
  17. You’d hope Almiron will be more open to a move now considering how little he has played.
  18. Really good today, some lovely touches on the ball which impressed me. Fair play to him hope he keeps it up
  19. It’s interesting to me, I don’t dislike Longstaff and often finds the stick he gets unfair. I have seen a lot of comments praising his performance last night, I don’t recall anything of note standing out in a positive way. the below clip did stand out at the time in a bad way, that’s so poor defensively from Longstaff imo, he should be following Felix into the box. https://x.com/nufc/status/1851994535661912105?s=46&t=V2wv_sDmp20-elneeiPmQg im not saying he had a bad game overall but I don’t recall anything amazing.
  20. I’d put him in over Burn purely based on pace and passing ability. we’ve been hampered a lot recently by how slow we are in central defence, it needs fixing and Kelly can plug that hole. no dig at Burn who has been one of our better players this season, but has limitations on the ball and is never going to get quicker.
  21. Couldn’t help but smile to myself when him and Bruno did their little passage of 1-2’s
  22. Not bothering to read too much today, plenty of shite being spouted on Twitter (as expected) but Howe is not to blame for poor decision making by multiple players. he’s also not exempt from criticism, his subs and persistence with the 433 need questioning, but would isak have passed to joelinton for example if we had a different manager?
  23. For me, especially with Hall and Livramento at FBs, I think we need to either play 3 at the back, or have an actual DM who stays back and allows the FBs to get forward. with our current squad it would have to be 3 at the back, I wouldn’t mind seeing: Pope Schar Botman Kelly Livramento Tonali Bruno Hall RW (this is the big issue - Murphy and Almiron are not good enough, however it may be more of an inverted role so maybe even Willock could do a job for now) Isak Gordon could even put Gordon right and Barnes left. It would mean plenty of cover at the back at all times, plenty of width, and talent in the middle. however I don’t think we will deviate from the 433 - but we need to tweak it if it remains.
  24. The amount of garbage I’ve read since yesterday about Howe, I’ve just looked at be table thoroughly expecting to see us 14th/15th. We should have won yesterday, and the fact we didn’t is down to poor execution, not Howe. we are still playing without a right winger, again not on Howe (completely anyway). I agree he needs to improve, be it more flexibility with tactics/formation, but I can’t believe so many people are firmly in the ‘Howe Out’ brigade.
  25. Hypothetically could we see PIF/PIF linked companies giving out sponsorship deals elsewhere to raise the ceiling of our own future deals in terms of FMV?
