Surely if we do cash in we can get £50 million plus?
-
Isn’t the UEFA model more about wages to turnover though? so in theory would be no limit on transfer fees? I might be wrong I don’t know too much about it

Don’t agree. obviously to everyone else it was obvious he wouldn’t get much game time at City, but he would have backed himself to break into the team. He’s given it 18 months and hasn’t made progress, and is now actively wanting to leave.

It is very interesting that mainly through us there is a lot of talk around FFP among the journalists at the moment, coupled with barely any business being done it seems. we may well not sign anyone this Jan but feel there is a bigger move on going in terms of changing the narrative around FFP

Think he meant even if PSG weren’t one of the clubs eligible for the release clause, if they offered that amount we’d accept it.
-
To be fair it was just his personal opinion, there is no actual info that we are interested in Mitro
-
Hadn’t even thought of that! Thanks mate

The adidas money kicks is in the summer, £40 million per year. Would cover 5x£40 million players on 5 year deals
-
Also a release clause tends to have to be paid in one lump sum, if a club is offering instalments then there is no obligation to accept as far as I am aware

New RW, cash in on Miggy, Minteh back up next season
-
Ah wasn’t sure if they would be, thanks for the heads up!

Thanks mate. membership would be the only way for me really. I don’t know anyone from Newcastle or anyone with a ST. Think I will buy a membership next year and try my luck that way! Edit: is there also ballots for away games? Not sure if I’ve read it somewhere or made it up.
-
Sorry if this has been answered or seems obvious, I just want to make sure my understanding of the process is correct. If I was to become a member, I can enter a ballot for a ticket to every home game (albeit a slim chance of succeeding) is that right? im not local so joining any ST waiting list wouldn’t work for me, but would be nice to get up for the odd game here or there.

Article is 100% speculation, baffles me how these papers get away with such made up headlines. In terms of an acceptable offer I’d take 25 million for him
-
It’s obviously a reference to the last Christmas Tindall chant I thought it was obvious but everyone on Twitter seems to have not clocked on

Thought he was really poor and he’s very fortunate he wasn’t replaced instead of Miley

My view on this saga is this. He has been signed as a future talent. He will be learning everyday the roles of a LB and also our system. It’s been said by a few players you really have to know your role in our team, it took Gordon 6 months to do so - so Howe probably thinks he doesn’t have the full grasp on this yet. If he was signed for £2 million then there wouldn’t be half as much said about him not playing - I understand the price will affect our views as supporters but I don’t think it alters the clubs view - he is a player of very high potential and he was available this summer at a price they were happy to pay. That doesn’t mean he is first team ready because he cost £x amount. I am sure it was explained to him when he joined that he will not feature a lot and the first year will be about development and learning.

Let’s not forget this poor form has happened after he was released early from the England squad, wasn’t that for personal reasons? who knows what’s going on but could have issues playing on his mind
-
Someone on the previous page said they would be disappointed if we were obligated to fork out £40million of our budget on Phillips
-
Also we wouldn’t pay £40million for Phillips, if there is a obligation it will surely be a lower amount

No isak at all what the fuck

The 2nd goal he should have saved, when you see the replay from behind it wasn’t top corner it was basically centre of the goal. I have no confidence in him whatsoever and I’m only watching, so I can’t imagine how it’s affecting the players in front of him, I can’t believe they have 100% faith in him. We 100% need to buy Popes upgrade in Jan, even if that wasn’t the original plan.

It’s clear from watching the Amazon doc that the board acknowledge a lot of teams struggle the season after getting into Europe, so there’s that. there’s also the fact we got a horrendous CL group draw, which if it wasn’t for a shocking refereeing decision tonight may have played out a lot differently if it was totally in our hands. we have had no ‘easy’ draws in the league cup - despite this, Howe has rotated and we progressed. on top of those factors, we’ve had an injury crisis which has been ridiculous - any squad would struggle, let alone ours which is still not complete with quality depth. and yet, here we are, narrowly missing out on CL progress, in the league cup QF and very much in the top 4 race. For me there is no chance the owners get rid of Howe. If anything, the way the season has unfolded so far has only added to his pedigree.

Miggy in particular doesn’t like passing to him
