RE Tonali there was a few times last year he was playing quick one touch stuff just to keep and rotate the ball - it actually felt like he was too quick (as in not on the same wavelength) for the rest of the team so as much as he needs to get used to our style, there is also an element of our players needing to learn his style too. I’m sure that will have happened over the last 10 months.

Also feel like Howe will probably go with Burn & Trippier in place of Kelly and Livramento.

I think we should have threads for anyone we are linked with personally, we should have a dedicated transfer section of the site. EDIT: one good reason is after a day of not being able to visit the board due to work/life, it’s not possible to catch up on 10/15 pages of the transfer rumours thread - if this was broken down into seperate threads of each player we can pick and choose which players we read about.

There’s a few rumours we are waiting for PL sign off for a couple of new commercial deals (and getting unhappy at the time it’s taking) wouldn’t surprise me if we are waiting for the green light with those before deciding what moves to make in the market.

He’s got 12 months left on his deal and isn’t getting a new one, that’s a big factor in the price.

If the rumours of a 5 year contract are true then it’s only £3m per year (plus wages). Would only have a small impact IMO

I think there is still time for him to develop but at the moment, he’s too safe with the ball, scared to make any attempts at creating stuff, and too indecisive in possession (which is a big problem for a lot of our current squad)

Yeah the official records will include them I think, I imagine it will include any game that took place after we announced him as the new manager.

Brentford at home was the first game he was manager for; albeit he missed it due to Covid. He was in the dugout for Arsenal though.

Hopefully with Tonali back next year and a few more quality additions in the summer we will be looking to have even more possession in games next season, in which case Hall has to be the LB for me.
