Was good for the first 15 minutes he was on, but then just disappeared. still think he will come good for us but needs to happen sooner rather than later.
  2. I didn’t say that, but this is a conversation specifically about Gordon. we had 3 wingers play today, and he was comfortably the worst. and he hasn’t been consistently good for a long time.

My opinion of him from his time at Brentford, which admittedly did not involve me watching him a lot, was that he was a poacher. watching him here I’m getting the same vibes, if in and around the 6 yard box he will put chances away, but his overall striker play is not great.
  4. He also put 2 crosses straight out for a goal kick, it’s embarrassingly bad at this level. Very close to writing him off, if we got a decent offer in the summer I’d be all over it
  5. Didn’t do anything wrong, and offered more than Gordon, start him & Barnes next game
  6. Really enjoyed that display, one of the best I think

I think like most others he is getting better, in terms of goals/assists I think it will come, he still seems to take the safe option some times which I think we will see less of as his confidence continues to grow. If he stays fit then il be happy, it’s nice to have more players comfortable in possession and I can see him getting goals from crashing the box eventually.
  8. We are essentially starting the City game 2-0 down though on paper, whilst the other games are (obviously) starting 0-0 so surely we prioritise those. We haven’t scored a single goal under Howe at the Etihad, so to think we will score 3 and keep a clean sheet is bonkers. He won’t admit it publicly but he will know our LC run is done.

    Nick Woltemade

He’s a very good player, but he doesn’t fit our system. We bought him knowing what he is, so it’s down to us to make the system work for him imo. He’s so good with his feet, which is why people say he’s a 10. Whether he’s a 10 or not, he’s best having people play off him, he can be the link between CM/Wingers/Striker
  10. We just need to bin off the 2nd leg at the Etihad, especially with the run of games coming up.
  11. I’d be fuming if this was ruled out for us, no way should it be disallowed (hope it is of course)

We may as well try given Schars injury
  13. Had forgot about that one, hard to decide which one was worse
  14. We’d be 4th if we didn’t fuck up that Chelsea game

    Harvey Barnes

    The guy delivers once again

Having an absolute shocker, even before that fuck up
  17. It was his lovely first time ball which started the move for the Wissa chance in the 2nd minute.
  18. Let’s recall him in Jan and give him a go
  19. With the players they have missing we should be winning this one.
  20. I saw him make at least 2 runs down the line but he doesn’t get given the ball when he does it, it’s not all down to him.
  21. Really not sure why he’s getting any stick tonight, was barely on the pitch long enough to warrant any comment on, and he didn’t really do anything wrong. Feels like berating him is just becoming a habit.
  22. I’m not sure, Bunce usually sits in a suit in the stands with the big wigs so I assume he has some sort of authority
  23. Posted this in the Howe thread but probably more suited to here: Not saying this to defend Howe, but saw someone ask the question on Twitter and it’s worth discussing - how much of our drop in intensity is down to Bunce? he came in after our last CL campaign when we had the massive injury crisis, is Howe simply being restricted in the intensity levels he can ask the players to go to?

  25. Clear as day that the 433 is done with, especially with Woltemade now. it’s so obvious to me that 4231 is the way to go, Wolte behind Wissa. needs to do something quick
