How are Sweden in the playoffs when they came bottom of their group?
-
Been a great day for us
-
unfortunately I can’t see Liverpool beating PSG in the next round, so let’s hope Villa win the EL & finish 5th, and we can get 6th
-
It is a massive game obvious reasons aside; after this we can have a mini reset with the international break and going back to 1 game a week, I’d really back us to have a strong end to the season, but I feel like we can’t afford to drop points before then, so with little prep time for Sunday it’s a huge game.

Lazy as fuck from Thiaw then if he actually sprinted he could possibly have blocked that, didn’t get out of 2nd gear
-
Tempted to give him another year, more than good enough as a rotation option
-
If we go out of Europe on Wednesday and are back to 1 game a week with plenty of time on the training pitch, I’d be confident of a good run to end the season. it’s unlikely we overtake 2 of villa, Liverpool, Chelsea for 5th, but I wouldn’t rule it out (if we lose on Wednesday).

See I’d probably play Tonali ahead of Joelinton but it’s close
-
I mean we can call it a rash challenge but it was a lovely bit of play from Olmo, I imagine many a defender would have given a penalty away in the same situation
-
Really really good again, becoming a regular starter for me, Tricky who misses out when Bruno is back as obviously he comes back in no questions asked.
-
Also watching Doku & Savinho yesterday, it would be good to have a different profile of player in the squad à la St Maximin.

We definitely need to evolve to be able to control/dominate games better i think we could come close to a starting 11 from our current group who would be able to play this way, I would say Ramsdale, Tino, Thiaw, Botman, Hall, Miley, Tonali, Bruno could definitely play that way. You could even throw in Gordon and Woltemade if the play was very structured. it’s the other players where we can’t do this IMO, Joelinton to an extent, but Burn, Willock, Murphy etc don’t have enough skills on the ball to be able to do it. Ultimately we need more technical players instead of athletes, we need to be able to breeze past the poorer teams by completely controlling the ball without exerting all our energy, this is what the best teams do, we just don’t have the squad for it yet.

What should happen is that the club/a coalition of clubs need to raise it at a PL meeting that, rather than raise ticket prices, club owners can input more money to cover the cost of the rises without it being affected by FFP. this means the clubs revenue still increases in line with ticket rises but it doesn’t come at the cost of the fans.

Looking at their fixtures, they are in real trouble. Still need to play Forest & Leeds, direct rivals, plus Wolves who are having a mini resurgence. also Liverpool, Sunderland, Villa and Chelsea, all away from home. other 2 games are Brighton & Everton who are no pushovers.

He’s got a cracking finish on him
-
Great game, and was not one occasion where there was a nervy moment at the back, he was constantly an extra passing option, and on the times he had to go long, at least it went near our players rather than into the stands.
-
Lucky not to be sent off though, needs to cut that stuff out of his game
-
Better side of the draw though if we can get past Barca…
-
He’s not much worse than Pope imo. Pope has been fairly poor lately.
-
Standard Etihad drumming incoming.
-
PSV was relatively comfortable too, not long after they had dicked Liverpool at Anfield.
-
Poor from Trippier as the captain IMO acting like that. At least wait until the dressing room being closed doors before doing anything.
-
Fucking wind up that is
-
I thought he was good last night and also it felt like the first time he’s actually looked comfortable out there and not playing with that fear/worry of making mistakes

The Greek we shipped to Sevilla is having a good season by all accounts, I know we didn’t want him but it is odd to me that he never even got a chance
