Gutted he didn’t want the Saudi move

    Lewis Hall

I’ve said it before but we all assume he was going to be in the first team picture because of the price tag. If we had signed him for £2million there wouldn’t be half as much interest. I think the club see his potential and ability and think he can be our first choice LB for 10+ years, so they shelled out the investment. He is not a natural LB and Howe likes players to know their role, I think it’s simply him taking a year to focus on learning how to be a LB in our team and he’s a player for the near future, the only reason our perception is different is due to the price.
  3. If he goes so early into his tenure here then it will really alter my opinion of him, and if he is happy to jump ship so soon then fuck him, don’t want anyone who isn’t 100% committed be it staff or player.
  4. Edwards article not half as bad as the headline makes out

    Dan Burn

Absolutely no way he should start next game, and if he does, any criticism aimed at Howe will be valid and he’s asking for it if he starts him. don’t even need to state how poor Burn was or his flaws, simply put Tino is a better LB and that’s the only thing that really needs saying.
  6. I would imagine they have regular media afternoons, the different sections in the background visible will just be different stations for different broadcasters etc
  7. Honestly, with us now being down to basically 1 game per week, you would expect the injuries to decrease and we will get players back. I can see us going on a really good run of form between now and the end of the season, who knows what will happen. the teams above us will all take points off each other too - top 5 is unlikely but not out of the question.

    Anthony Gordon

No I don’t think so - I’m sure the yellow card limits reset after Xmas don’t they? edit - the above is incorrect, but I believe Gordon is on 9 now, so same situation as Bruno - 1 more and he has a 2 match ban. Unless they can get to match week 33 without picking one up.
  9. He is much more comfortable with the ball at his feet than Pope, has to be said. I gave him some criticism after his first few games back, but he’s proved me wrong and I’m glad he has. Hope he keeps it up.

    Joelinton

Don’t agree he should be on Bruno money. He should be one of the higher paid players but not on par with the top level.
  11. In terms of positives of Tonali I thought he had a lot more composure on the ball that most of our other midfielders, happy to do quick one touch, sometimes I felt the issue was he was too quick for our team, in terms of what the rest of the team were used to. I think once he is back in the side and fully understands how we play, he will certainly help us become more controlling in possession and comfortable on the ball.
  12. Ornstein reporting Forest are trying to sign Reyna from Dortmund - could be Gibbs White replacement?

    Alfie Harrison

Really? Seems high, would indicate he is going to be in the first team sooner rather than later then

    Alfie Harrison

Left footer too, something we lack in midfield. Although of course he won’t be in the first team immediately.
  15. We seemed to have rejected this bid almost immediately; it’s clear we have a figure in mind which we will let him go for, and not a penny less, I guess it’s in the 16-20 million pounds region

    Miguel Almirón

If Miggy goes for 17-20 we could easily spend 50-60 if we give them a 5 year deal
  17. I might be wrong but I think the value of the shares remains the same, but further shares will continuously be issued to raise capital

    Miguel Almirón

Edwards saying our target to replace Miggy is Gibbs White. Yes please, although not really the same position
  19. I’d have thought we would sign a replacement. If it’s trips and Miggy out, I’d assume Tino to RB and a CM and RW coming in
  20. If we are believing the reports then it seems clear he is wanting the move as opposed to us looking to offload him. Has to be a sale though, no loan.
  21. I don’t think amortisation matters with outgoings. if we sell longstaff for £30 million, our profit show 30 million instantly, regardless of how long a contract his new club gives him. Amortisation only applies to incomings.
  22. Imagine a midfield of Bruno, Tonali and Kimmich next season though

    Joelinton

Who said we aren’t willing to negotiate a fair deal?

    Joelinton

I love him but I don’t think he’s on the same level as Bruno, Botman, Isak. Very close, but not quite there.
