  1. We need a player who can receive the ball in tight spaces between the lines and play throughballs. We have runners and players who love to press, but not enough technical ability between the lines.
  2. Problem is that when we don't create enough, then a player who is mostly a poacher does not offer much. If he doesn't link up play, hold the ball up or create something out of thin air, the poacher is standing between 2 CBs offering very little. With Haaland-level I mean that he is a player who does not touch the ball very often or participate in the build up, but it does not matter because he scores so much. We don't have that luxury because we don't create chances like Man City. And like I said, I like Wilson and he always works his socks off, and is an intelligent player like we saw against Chelsea with the goal. Just that he is a player we have to upgrade soon, and of course his fitness and age are also a factor.
  3. Yea, I am not arguing this with great purpose. And agree with 90s football. But I still think striker should offer more than what Wilson does. At least when he is not Haaland -level goalscorer. But interesting to see this January anyway, with Europe I would have been certain that we make 2-3 deals, now not so much.
  4. Cole 415 games 187 goals in EPL goal in every 2.2 Wilson 213 games 86 goals goal in every 2.4 And yes, Cole played in a lot better team. Although I cannot remember did he take penalties? Back to topic however, I think we need versatile forward. Ekitike might have been that type of player. Don't think we are after him anymore
  5. You might, but Andy Cole is one the best finishers in EPL history. Wilson is not. I like Callum, but we really need help in forward department.
  6. Yes, few weeks ago Isak used to drop deep to receive from defence and then played to Gordon or Miggy /other runners. It seemed to work fine.

    Lewis Hall

I said I might not agree with the decision, but I understand Howe's thinking. Hall has not exactly been great when he has played, except at OT.

I don't care were he has played for at Chelsea. Howe said that he is a left back and seems like he will not be trusted to play anywhere else at the moment in Howe's system. He started in midfield against ManU but switched to LB rightaway and did well. Matt Ritchie is an experienced player, so when defending a cup quarterfinal lead I understand the reason to bring him on. I don't say I agree with it.
  9. Watching Wilson, especially in UCL is so frustrating. Yes he scores goals for us, but he contributes so little anything else. I mean he doesn't hold up very well, doesn't drop deep. He is a poacher. Haven't seen David enough to say anything, but we really need a more from a forward than just finishing.

So Howe sees that Livramento can sometimes play higher up, but Hall is just a left back. Most likely he will be starter for us for a long time, but not as a 19yo.

    Lewis Hall

Because Howe sees him as a left back. So that is why he going to play there

Howe said he has work to do with defending, so he is not trusted completely yet. And he is seen as a left back so of course he is not played as a winger.
  13. He was great. Only negative I have to say is (and this doesn't concern just Miley) is that when we win the ball back in midfield, we tried (and often try in other games) play Isak/Wilson through rightaway and end up giving back possession. Miley did this couple of times, but Wilson is not going to run away from defenders like that. Gordon maybe. It's infuriating because 2-3 passes and there might be chance for a counter. But anyway, our best player yesterday again.
  14. I am blaming Lascelles more recently. He seems to be backing off so much that sometime he will end up in the first row. And it is a bit sad seeing Dubs and Lascelles starting for us in 2023 tbh.
  15. To be honest, I still read it quite often. Match reports and stuff like that. Twitter is pretty crap and nufc.com gives another view of things. As a foreigner though there are terms and words I have no idea what they mean. I have been reading that since 2004-5 or something like that. Archives are nice.
  16. I understand people are not happy with Dubravka, but we have 4 keepers on the books. What is the point of having so many of them, if we cannot play them in case like this?
  17. I think there are 10 other players to blame there before Dubs
  18. To be honest, Trippier has pretty much kept Mbappe quiet twice this season. It is not lack of ability, it is the sheer amount of games.
  19. This. We are not there yet, but we are on a journey. Just can't handle all these injuries and this season seems to be about cup runs and building for the next one. Just bad luck.
  20. Neither Miley or Bruno had the brain to follow the runner... Great defending.
  21. Yea, top4 team this ManU for sure…
  22. You are still i the race, but not if your form does not improve in that case. League is much more competitive this season.
  23. Your form against top8 teams is awful. Has been under ETH almost all the time, and it will catch up eventually.
