Agree on Barnes, he is getting the ball a lot but offers nothing. Gordon would have created a lot from all that space. Don't trust for a moment that we will keep clean sheet here.

I understand this, as the whole culture is so different there. We have clubs that are way over 100 years old. When Finnish team Haka played Liverpool in UCL-qualifier in 2001, they played it 250 km from their home stadium, at Helsinki Olympic Stadium. It was sold out, and most people cheered everytime Liverpool scored (ended 5-0). I just thought this must have felt so weird for the away fans. Sorry for OT guys.

It is, but English teams are hugely popular for ex. in Finland. When I ask someone who considers himself a "scouser" or whatever, why don't you go support your local team? "Who cares" or the "football is so crap". It is still your local club. That is what football is about. I like watching Newcastle from a far, cause I like football. But clearly cannot have same kind of feelings towards a club like locals or like I feel for the club I have supported since a little kid. I get that someone wants to watch football at the highest level, but do you have to learn lyrics for YNWA or "hate Everton" or whatever, if you are 55yo Finnish man in Helsinki? Seems weird.

I think they have sold a squad player for squad player fee. I don't think Villa need him, but I don't think they need Sancho either.

They get a cut of the fee, but he is mediocre player and most likely be a squad player for Villa. They got him pretty cheap. They have a buy back, which I guess means Liverpool can match any offer like City with Trafford? But for me it looks like they flopped him out bc they don't need him but they need to sell some fringe players.

How? If he does ok, he is still not good enough for Liverpool. They won't buy him back unless he starts to bang them in, which he will not.
