  1. Rumor is £175,000 but even if it is less, it is likely to be prohibitive. I loved him at Brighton. Not sure why he didn't work out. Eddie says we are keeping Lewis Hall but then why doesn't he play? Chelsea are in real FFP trouble. Do we help them out with £28million Hall price tag? Our number 1 priority should be RW (expensive) and then back up for Schar (not too expensive). LB and CM needs will be determined by Lewis Hall, Joelinton, and Bruno retention. Someone mentioned the idea of Trippier on the left and Tino on the right, which would be an interesting solution.
  2. 19 of his 23 starts (Football Statistics)were at left midfield and he is right footed. Not sure he would be ideal as a rw.
  3. Would he displace Burn and be a better option than Targett and Hall? Are we obligated to buy Hall?
  4. Who is going to buy Matt Targett on £100,000 a week salary?
  5. No. 1 priority should be RW. Michael Olise is young (22), reasonably cheap (£60M), PL proven, and on £100,000 per week. Diaby would have been nice last summer if we had not spent so much on the back line. Olise/Gordon would serve as back up CF too. Next would be back up for Schar and we need not break the bank for that. That would mean gross spend of about £90M and hopefully some sales.

    Lewis Hall

And basically only playing Dan Burn. Frustrating wondering what the rest could possibly do with playing time.
  7. He would be perfect but we would be fighting Arsenal for over £60
  8. LB: Dan Burn January 31, 2022, Matt Targett July 1, 2022, Tino Livramento (more of a rb tbf) August 8, 2023, Lewis Hall August 22, 2023.
  9. I find them to be consistently low.
  10. Are we good with Schar/Lascelles RCB? I seem to recall the idea of bringing in someone younger to back up Schar. A quality RW that can score and provide cover for Isak/Wilson would be nice.
  11. Good point. I read an article (SportsBible) that said we were not, but it was probably wrong.
  12. I thought he wasn't being paid.
  13. I remember reading an article that said we got him cheap but a little research suggests that was the market. I would think private investigators might go around asking about players and doing some digging in the future.
  14. The price on a player who was at his dream club should have raised some concerns that should have turned into an extensive background check. Did no one remember Ivan Toney? That was kind of a big deal. Blowing the majority of your limited money on a player who can't play is a complete disaster.
  15. Barnes plays on the left and Miggy on the right. We need to find a RW this summer who will start over Miggy and let him come in off the bench.
  16. Gordon? We've got Barnes for that no? I would think we need cover for Almiron. He will turn 30 and Murphy will turn 29 this February. RW, then cover for Schar, then cover for striker. That plus getting Tonali back would provide some good depth.
  17. He didn't bring in Bruno, got completely used by Milan and Tonali's agent, then sold ASM for nothing. The success stories should be credited as much, if not more, to Eddie Howe. Ashworth is very replaceable and the trajectory of the club has much more to do with the manager and his players than Ashworth. This moment is an opportunity to upgrade the position.
  18. Barnes seemed superfluous to Gordon but he looked like a good goal scorer before he got hurt and while Gordon was still finding his way. Not sure if that is fair. I don't think we had the funds for a quality RW at the time.
  19. Who was responsible for a doing a background check on Sandro Tonali?
  20. How does Tonali's suspension affect FFP? We know we don't have to pay him £11m in salary.
  21. Beating a talented rival is one thing but having their fans whine and moan for days after makes it so much better. Its like winning all over again. Hilarious.
  22. Depends on which player gets injured between now and the window. How can we not have clarity on the Botman injury?
  23. His pay will be cut allowing us to find a replacement in January but limited FFP funds will be wasted covering a position we already covered. He deserves a big pay cut. I'm not buying this gambling addiction excuse. He could have gambled on plenty of other things.
