Think it's the fact we're setting ourselves up so that when things change like retirement/injury/form we don't have to react then, we've already got successors. Also all this kid has to do is play half decent and his price is going to more than double, so it's just a win win for us.

Now I could be wrong here but just thought I'd throw this in, I'm sure Howe is an Everton fan, think he mentioned it in an interview. Probably watched him a good bit. If we look at this from the viewpoint that Almiron was a very similar player before EH, great at running around pressuring players, but no end product. Gordon is faster, younger, and has two feet. I'd put money on Howe making him a quality player for our system, and getting his fitness back up.

Wouldn't be surprised if this is already in here somewhere, but a nice little tribute from Bournemouth. Love this bit with the player saying he's a legend and should be knighted, also the little glimpses of Wilson, Ritchie, Fraser, Tindall and some of the other coaching staff. Not often managers get this treatment when they leave a club.
