  1. I can assure you all that Penn was not Luke Edwards, and the ‘IMTTS’ username was simply a wry reference to the then-banned Penn username. Good guy by all accounts, and unbelievably handsome.
  2. Genuine question - do people read tweets from the likes of “Newcastle World” and “Footy Insider 24/7” and assume they have any grounding in reality?
  3. Feel free not to keep us up to date with the TransferChecker Twitter account.
  4. €10m net of a 45% tax = £300k a week at current FX rates, which seems unlikely.
  5. What the fuck are you talking about?
  6. why are opposition forums being mean to us!!!??
  7. Presumably already been posted but Christ, three days ago they uploaded this...poor bastards.

    Alexander Isak

Relative to what other transfer that's occurred in the past 12 months?
  9. Not a fan. A first choice midfield three that includes two slow, unathletic players in Tonali and Bruno won’t be good enough.
  10. Because they're both shite left backs, I imagine?
  11. PIF slags bailing our top four rivals out.
  12. There’s no reason for the club to try and insulate fans when 90% of the fanbase are happy to hound anyone who dares suggest it may be a bit steep. The City-fication of the club is inevitable unfortunately.
  13. We really do have the most spineless, supine fanbase in the league these days. Must not upset Jamie Reuben!
  14. Think this is Edwards trying to juice his click through rate before the new Telegraph bosses start swinging the sword.
  15. That’s a class loan. Poor Garang got sent to Mordor cos there were a few other Aussies in the vicinity.

    St James' Park

St James’ Park - a city centre stadium surrounded by Victorian/Georgian/medieval street structures and very little parking - being above-averagely difficult to host large concerts at doesn’t really seem like an argument worth getting upset about like
  17. That looks much better. The real one is proper clipart stuff.
  18. Their logo is rank. Like something from 2003.
  19. https://twitter.com/riathalsam/status/1666096033456328713?s=46&t=I96ScBhtVGMPCHIScbAQdw
  20. In a selfish/morally perverted sort of way, this is good for us. Especially Al-Rumayyan being fucking Chairman lmao
  21. Do people think the Saudis are paying Benzema $600m so he can play for Newcastle? The whole discussion is stupid man. It has fuck all to do with us.
  22. More likely we turn into a feeder club for them. Clearly a huge change of focus from outward to inward.
  23. The Delaney article is one of the most appallingly-written things I’ve ever read. Comically bad prose in every paragraph. And the argument - to the extent that it can be called that - is incomprehensible. Both he and Panja have clearly been fed a line by the same disgruntled source - probably some random director at Spurs or wherever - on “viewing these deals through the prism of equity”, but that is absolutely fucking meaningless. “Equity” and “equity investment” are real terms that have actual defined meaning - and a related party sponsorship is not it. There is no rule set or precedent preventing any kind of equity transaction. The Saudis could inject a trillion dollars of cash into us via equity and there’s nothing anyone could do about it (actually spending it would be the issue). It would make no sense for anyone interested in preventing financial doping to view these sorts of things “through the prism of equity”. Someone has fed Delaney and Panja a complete dud of a line and they’ve ran with it because they literally don’t understand what they’re talking about. There will be no ban on related party transactions - it’s completely unworkable. The “equity” argument will be dropped very soon I think once the penny drops.
  24. Sports leagues have almost free reign to impose their own rule sets over participants. Affirmed in UK and European law multiple times. its a dead-end any way, we don’t want to turn into ultra-bitter litigious freaks like Citeh have. They do not find following football a fun pastime any more.
  25. Feels like there’s clearly something going on here. Wouldn’t surprise me if he left this summer, hopefully to a non-English destination.
