best chance this brilliant team performance created all match - a deflection up in the air followed by their man heading his own shoulder after the ball had gone.

Long shots and half-chances from scrambles from your brutalist set plays is the antethesis of being creative. Joe Kinner was doing that on a budget 30years ago. Sounds from the Spurs and Arsenal fans like Flange and Arteta are under increasing pressure and not impressing people that watch them regularly - can only presume this is why they've been prize arseholes this week.

Eddie Howe - Nominated for Manager of the Season

Jobs not done, but never doubted this bloke mind, whatever happens , he gives us a chance in such situations as this and were capable of any result. I've never seen a better defence than the ones he's produced - even with ultra defensive managers - and the sort of professuinal results and performances we pull out now and then still don't feel like NUFC to me. -
Would have been very happy with 2-0 from a home leg, would have taken 0-0. That's just fantastic though. Might even have been confident about the tie as a whole if we'd pulled off one of them near one on one situations at the end.

I'm not even sure they realise it was a boycott. They certainly don't want to accept it. Despite the calls for it, organisation of it, events that lead to it and the stark drop off at exactly that time. They want to believe it was a natural occurance and the concept that because 10,000 people stop going doesn't mean others don't take their places seems beyond them - Applying their own standards on both counts

Rattled to babyishness as though that was a big game for them and something like he believes that's the end of any chance of Europe and the repurcussions in terms of job security that may have. Despite the conniving of Levy.

Nailed on CL again for the Mags. The league is gash. It is shite like compared to say early 00s what like when we finished 3rd, 4th and 5th?

Just heard Jamie Sterry has scored. Blast from the past

He'll start against Bromley. Like we did with Chopra/Brayson rather than Ameobi/Mathie in accordance with his albeit brief, cameos

Holds back more clubs from improving themselves than it prevents from doing a Bury. Which was extremely rare in the previous 125years under previous rules. Could easily have had rules that prevented that without making ambition illeagal and freezing pecking orders. But if new rules don't benefit the already advantaged they don't happen.

Is it something about red and white stripes and pitifully low points totals or something? -

Would have taken two draws in 01/02. Would have felt a win at either was a treat. To win both and smash Boro on boxing day. Think it was more appreciated as bonus than the Keegan years, like getting a second shot at life or something - very Its a Wonderful Life really. Was a white Christmas too snowed like mad the Leeds night at least. Eddie though, comes through these patches, proven it time and again - I believe in the bloke. Think that's a big thing with managers - trusting that they can turn things around, adapt etc. Be ideal but unrealistic if he/we didn't have them. Love the cut of his jib personally. -
Forgot about Krafth when I was bemoaning the issues at the back.

Just averaged bigger crowds then them every year Ashley was here and even comfortably bigger crowds a division below under him - just the 10,000 more on the second occasion and averaged 18-23k more than them in his last three seasons. Easy mistake to make.
-
They're a much worse team than the Man United team team that was one place above the relegation zone in February and two places above it in March under Ferguson, much less heart too. Shame their are enough exceptionally bad teams to prevent that sort of thing these days.
-
Didn't want him for us but he'd easily be one of their better players now

Has any manager been a hit after starting even more unimpressively than what his predecessor was sacked for? I know Ferguson was on the brink there but that was after he spent all that money, I think they initially did improve. Just seems odd to see absolutely no positive signs at this point. The team as a whole, defence, attack and no revitalised individuals.

Thorough easy win at Old Trafford for United.

Cant ask more than that, two performances in one - completely dominant men against boys first-half, controlled damp squib second-half with the result in the bag. Comes through tricky patches with flying colours man, that's worth more than one flash in the pan run -
How many times in football at any level even going back to when it was a lot rougher than now does that happen? Its extremely rare and seems to disproportionately involve cuntts like Ferguson's Man United, Wenger's Arsenal, the likes of Dennis Wise, dirty players and now radgies in a game with an edge in Duran. The pretend accidental stamp whilst hurdling a player (plausible deniability) is time honoured.

That's reflective of the vast majority of mackems, not necesarily match going ones, or even fans but mackems in general that I've known. Never heard of any other group of people that are like that. The Geordies I've known that weren't into football or only slightly couldn't care less about them

Reminds one of "who you calling a psycho?" to an innocent bystandarder on Kingpin

Must be the fifth time he's proved people wrong now. You'd reckon after the third you'd realise he can turn things around so is at least worth a fair shake.
