They look totally transformed going forward, especially on the break and have real pace up front, but defensively I still feel they can be really vulnerable. I think this will be like a cagey boxing match for the first half, testing each other out, both wary of a knock out punch.

I’d play Willock with ASM and drop Longstaff personally, off the ball we will get lots of space you’d imagine as they attack and go forward and he’s better at carrying the ball, making off ball runs and is more of a goal threat.

I’d be happy with 7th place to be honest even from our lofty 3rd position, but I’d be disappointed if we didn’t go all out for a CL place and any club worth its salt would not deem playing in the top tier of elite football basically a step too far and nor should any fans of such club. Bring it on!

If we had two of Trippier, one for the left, Willock would get so much joy. That’s what we need, another attacking full-back. That said, Burn gives us so much defensively and allows us to become a back 3 at times and his height and heading ability defensively is one of the main reasons why we are so strong at the back. It’s a delicate balancing act, but if you want to try and nullify this Howe NUFC team, target our right flank which Leeds did to good effect. Even with ASM on the left if we can’t go on the run down the right, he’s too unpredictable and double up on him and we are forced through the centre where only Bruno has the eye for a killer pass. We need a Maddison too!

Playing Arsenal will suit our game better than playing against Leeds. I’d of course be happy with a point, we are both due a loss really given our respective runs. I’m just happy knowing our manager, coaching staff and players will be going there to win.

All season he’s been getting into some great positions in and outside of the box, but just strike the ball clean man or look to hit the target. Defensively he was very good again today mind.

I’ve been to Spain probably more than ten times, it’s quite a racist country from my experience. That shit needs knocked on the head full stop, everywhere and anywhere. A Barca home match I went too, I’m not saying they were being racist, but one of their black players was playing crap and was constantly booed and jeered at. Didn’t notice the same vitriol for white/Spanish players.

I like the guy, he’s worked hard for us and been a part of this early journey, but we can’t be starting with him post January like, with or without Wilson.

When we play teams that have a go, he’s arguably better than ASM down the left, but when team’s sit back his lack of creativity is there for all to see.

I thought he was poor today, him Bruno and Almiron, wasteful so many times and just looked a bit faded which may stand to reason.

I’m not one for berating our players these days as they are decent human beings and give their all, but Wood today was abysmal. It was like playing with ten men at times. A simple pass out wide to Almiron running between the lines and he passes it out for a goal kick, unacceptable really. Bruno and Joelinton were well off it today too and Almiron was back to his frustrating get the ball near the byline and cuts back game. Just on off day I’m sure and to be fair the effort they have all put in this last year has been monumental so as disappointing it is not to beat this shitty Leeds side, on our game fully today and we fucking hammer them and that’s still encouraging.

Well that was shit, Howe needs to find a different way of playing against teams that just defend and we need players that can unlock such teams. Happy with a clean sheet, disappointed we failed to beat that shite and many of our players didn’t turn up. It’s been an amazing 2022 though so well done to the gaffer, his staff and the team. Now let’s smash it in the transfer market if we are to maintain a top four position. Oh and the ref was absolutely fucking awful and Leeds, dirty Leeds!

We’ve been bad down both flanks, centrally though Willock has carried the ball well and been an outlet, drifting left, but he has no-one to help him.

Pretty dominant in possession, but our final ball has been poor. Wood none existent, really poor game from him. Again we struggle against a team that just sits back, we badly need a Maddison type playmaker, Bruno well off it too. I worry if they sneak one they will just defend and defend, we need a goal, get one and it could open the game up for more as we are all over them. Very disappointed with Leeds. Just kick and rush football, but it’s up to us to break them down.

I think him and a few of our players have been suffering with some form of long covid, that’s what my mate says who works at the academy. I’m suffering with it now and they are professional athletes so if they are given how shit I feel, it must be so frustrating for them. Apparently when Lascelles had it he was wiped out, couldn’t even jog in training.

He was bang out of form for a while to be fair and looked like the new Deli Ali, but I’ve always rated him, he seems to be in a good head space right now and is showing his class. I think on his day he’s brilliant and seems a top person too. I agree with some, he needs to just focus on his football and leave the off-field social justice stuff to the Tories…

Fair enough, I’d agree normally to be honest, I just think he has some good quality attributes and I’d trust Howe to get him back into the England squad for example. At the right price he’d be a decent signing IMO. He was good under Ole I’m sure, @Froggy?
