I know we've been wanting to upgrade Miggy/Murphy for about 3 years but surely our priority in January has to be a backup Striker? If Isak gets injured we are in big trouble, Gordon hasn't shown he can deputise there and Osula is far too raw. None of them are ideal but we have plenty options with Gordon/Barnes/Murphy/Miggy all capable of playing on the right, and whilst I absolutely love Isak, one concern has been him picking up slight injuries multiple times in the past two seasons. Would be a disaster if we run him into the ground needing him to play the full 90 minutes most games with no rotation options. I think short term this clearly has to be the #1 priority.

No Aguero is absurd, he has to be in the discussion for #1 spot 10 best Premier League forwards and 10 best forwards to play in Premier League obviously two different things.

The message was spot on at that time, however, it doesn't now mean it should be used as a stick to beat people with if anyone has any negative constructive criticism against the club. I think some of the comments in this thread are beyond nuts, I think anyone wanting Howe out is a huge overreaction, but that's just my opinion, maybe I'm wrong. If I make a flag and get a few people to hold it up supporting Howe does that mean everyone then has to agree with me forever? That's effectively what people are doing with this banner.

Always found it very odd that people trot this out as if it was some huge flag that the whole of SJP held proudly to the world and we all have to stand by the message, rather than 10 people at an away game???

If Chelsea could somehow sign a top goalkeeper in January they could win the league this season, they're very good, as they should be like spending a billion quid.

Selling him for 100m would be fucking nuts, we paid 60 odd million for him, since then he's gone on to prove himself to be one of the best strikers in the world, that's not even debatable, and he's still on a long contract. Add in the fact there's a huge lack of world class strikers right now, I wouldn't even go to the table for less than 150m. We should do everything possible to keep him, every other person at the club is replaceable, Isak is absolutely irreplaceable, we have no chance of signing anyone close to his level, we should tell every club HE'S NOT FUCKING LEAVING!!!
-
Don't think it would be a good move to switch Isak's position when Wilson sadly highly likely will be injured again very soon, could also knock Isak's confidence moving him to fit in Wilson. Isak has to play in his best position and you build the team around him.

Fucking commentator in the game for Isak pen literally said "if it's a mistake it's a mistake just leave it on refs call" wtf!!! Upson agreed with him as well, infuriatingly stupid, thought it was a blatant pen.

Just me that wishes there was a new thread such as "Sack or keep Eddie Howe"? Then those who want to discuss this to death after every goal we concede can do as they wish and the rest of us can avoid it and keep checking in this thread for all things Eddie Howe.

Where is this please @aussiemag?

If we get top 5/CL place think we can keep everyone in that 1st 11, and if any of the subs leave don't think it'll be an issue to find like for like replacements. Of course, it high likely won't go exactly as above, and if that's the case we should then have suitable budget to replace x, y and z, if we operate well in the market. Tough but certainly not impossible, and the main point is we are in a very good position to hopefully now press on to that next level.

Pretty exciting looking at the squad now, I think 2-3 years if we are shrewd in the transfer windows we can put together a title challenging team, end of August 2026 we could look like this: New GK Tino - 23 CB Botman - 26 Hall - 21 CDM Bruno - 28 Tonali - 26 RF Isak - 26 Gordon - 25 Pope - 34 RB CB LB Miley - 20 Joelinton - 30 Willock - 27 Barnes - 29 Striker Anyone people disagree with? Pope feels most questionable for me, but that's not going to be an issue anyways, then possibly next would be Joelinton. Of course big name could leave but if they do then it at least gives greater scope with budget to bring others in as well as a replacement.

Yeah same thought, he should've called him out for being disrespectful and told him to fuck off, in Portuguese!

Short as 7/2 with bookies, so would say your slightly under stating our chances

Come on, we can dream!

Was a good shout mate, unlucky

Odds would be close given they'd both heavily rotate and we likely go full strength
