Maybe a bit harsh to judge Tino regards that when we had 10 men for over 2/3rds of the game and Murphy gone off after 30 minutes so nobody for Tino too link up with.

Lol, wouldn't think I'd been using PC's for over 30 years ffs
-
Think I'm done, may change my 5.5m City defender.
-
I joined this one we well, let me know where to send please @KDT
-
Yeah same, price Palace want for Guehi I would go to Everton with a bid and see what they say.
-
Would people rather we sign Guehi or Branthwaite?

I'm not targetting anyone with my message, just as a group felt a bit much. Personally, if I thought someone was being a dickhead or spoiling a thread and I cared enough to want to call them out for it would probably think the best way to address it would be to send them a PM and point it out to them that way, as I think calling someone out publically in a forum setting is never going to have much value as people usually get super defensive and just attack back as they feel attacked themself. Anyways, said my two penneth, carry on as you were all Enjoy your Saturday's!

Just a passing comment, but 10+ people all jumping on the same person, whether he's induced or not, seems a bit too much of a personal attack, humiliating, or whatever you want to call it. Confirmed proud snowflake but just seems a bit much... oh, and fingers crossed we get this deal done.

4/6 at bet365 to still be here when window closes, for those who like a short priced bet seems great value, would've expected much shorter, he ain't leaving!

Inb4 the press conference is cancelled and NO servers explode

If he's not guilty and has this hanging over him for two years that's also brutal for him, seems it cost him a move to City for starters. Just don't see why it would take two years to deal with this, or the 5+ years or whatever it is to deal with City, it's a very bad look for the image of the league, and given the billions they make would think the process could and should be a lot better. For sure I'm not an expert on these matters, just doesn't look good, if Pacqueta has cheated and then freely played for two years it opens up a whole can of worms with different permutations, for example, he scores in a game that caused a team to be relegated, just seems an absolute mess.
-
Sure, but I assume the average murder case takes less than two years to deal with and I expect that's generally a lot more complicated process than this situation. Messages, emails, betting patterns etc, don't see why it would take two years to get to the truth of the matter.
-
To go off on a tangent, it's reported Pacqueta will play the full season basically before anything's done which seems insane regards his spot-fixing case for the yellow cards, it started last Summer right? So he can play two full seasons without this being dealt with, what would be the justification for it taking so long? Seems absolutely insane, and hugely incompetent from the powers that be! Whole industry seems a mess from top to bottom, complete shambles!

Kieran Maguire, who seems to be the go to guy for all things football finance, said it was likely City would lose the case.
-
Tbf he's very well spoken in interviews, seems he has his family close by him, seems pretty likeable to me. Obviously he has a huge ego, you have to have to reach the heights he already has, he's one of the top players at Real Madrid at 20 years old, seems a little overly judgemental to expect him not to be full of himself.
-
Possibly those suggesting that are clickbait tricks? From Sky News "He has been given a one-match ban - but that is "subject to a probationary period of one year, starting from the date of the present decision". This means the ban will only apply if there is a further incident in the next year." This is how I understood it, never ever heard of the other suggestion, sounds like bs... likely is bs
-
The one game ban is suspended no? So he won't get any kind of ban unless he does something else? That's how I've understood it and think that's somewhat standard? He's done the celebration before so his story has some credibility, and the two different situations are not comparable really in terms of their respective offence. Don't doubt Bellingham's superstar status and eyes he brings, sponsors, money etc has been factored in which is clearly bullshit, but think a ban would've been harsh so outcome seems correct.

Sky have now added full 11 to start next game to that market and Pickford, Alexander-Arnold, Walker, Stones, Konsa, Saka, Rice, Bellingham, Mainoo, Foden, Kane is 2/5
-
When I was looking at it it didn't like right, I actually wasn't going to put Foden anywhere, and then thought to add him like this: <<<<<<<<<<<Foden>>>>>>>>>>>>> Think Bellingham as a 10, two DMs, and Foden free role has some potential to work, Trent and Saka providing the width and should still be solid defensively. Hopefully whatever he lands on we'll see an improvement.

Interesting to look at the odds for next game line-up - https://m.skybet.com/football/england-specials/england-starting-xi-vs-switzerland-sat-6th-jul/33861371 Assuming the bookies are right the 11 will be: Pickford, Stones, Walker, Konsa, Trent, Rice, Bellingham, Saka, Mainoo, Kane, Foden This would then be the shape? Pickford Walker Stones Konsa Trent Saka Mainoo Rice Bellingham Foden Kane Trippier's next likely, he's 4/5 to start, of the above Trent is biggest price 1/5. Part of me quite likes it, at least it's a change, but the other part of me believes Southgate's only doing it as it's forced through Guehi missing and feels typical Southgate, super weak approach and we are changing our formation just to match up with the Swiss.
-
Lol, "the numbers talked about were so low they would not have made a meaningful contribution to the PSR deficit.", this bit kinda gave it away

https://m.skybet.com/football/england-specials/england-starting-xi-vs-slovakia-sun-30th-jun/33823556 6/4 on Pickford, Walker, Stones, Guehi, Trippier, Mainoo, Rice, Saka, Bellingham, Foden, Kane to start Sunday seems very big price to me, would've expected odds on. All the talk is Mainoo will start next game and Foden's going to play, don't see how Shaw can start even if he's fit and it's Southgate so it seems highly unlikely he'll do anything out of the ordinary. Media all seem to know the team 48 hours in advance and Alex Crook has said this is the team Sunday (He wasn't 100% certain when he said it fyi). Only slight concern is the bookies know all of this as well so seems odd... Please gamble responsibly

I don't understand how anyone can possibly think it's a good idea to drop Saka, he's been consistently one of if not our best players for the last 3 years, he's World Class, and he's done more than most this tournament (still not much admittedly). There's two major problems for me, the left side is completely fucked, Trippier isn't good enough to play LB, he's wasteful with the ball, no link up with Foden, Foden was visibly frustrated with him 4-5 times last night for either completely missing the pass to him or under/overhitting it, we need to take Trippier out of the team, Shaw will get zero minutes most likely in the tournament, and I don't trust Trent defensively, the only area ironically that we've looked solid in the tournament, so I would play Gomez there. Second issue is the CM spot alongside Rice, as many others have suggested this seems a very easy fix, play Bellingham deeper, put Foden as a 10 and play Gordon. Beyond infuriating that he brought Gordon on 88th minute ffs, and even still he created something and looked a threat in the tiny amount of time he had. Sadly Southgate's too stubborn to change, and it will very likely be his and our downfall, so I assume next game he'll make just one change with Mainoo coming in for Gallagher, a positive change at least as Mainoo looked good in the 2nd half. The upside is we'll now play against teams who are more progressive and come at us more so we'll create more, but the balance of the team is wrong and we'll likely need a lot of luck to go deep in this tournament. Already, once again, Southgate is running pure with how the draw's playing out, let's see how far that takes us. One thing I can say for absolute certain is if we do somehow win the Euros this Summer, I'll be inspite of Southgate, not because of him!
-
That's fair enough yeah, but just seemed a bunch of people jumping on the initial statement as if it was some ludicrous statement when it was just a very fair criticism which I found very odd. And yeah, as @SteValluded to, stats can often be used to manipulate a specific point inaccurately, I know what I see every game to know the point on his kicking isn't overstated. However, I do think I possibly undervalued his other abilities and he was certainly a huge miss this season.
-
His kicking is extremely poor, he's very nervous whenever he has the ball at his feet, often just kicks it out of play and induces pressure on the defence, don't really see how anyone can even dispute that, it's very clear and obvious the limitations he has with his feet. Whether or not the fact he's a fantastic shotstopper means we should just accept that is another question, but it's very fair criticism.
