  1. Agree, very impressive after 10 months out, looks class
  2. What do you think then, 5th is basically guaranteed and good chance we get 3rd? If not I'm not sure how you think it's a wild statement I'm not speaking about my opinion either btw, I'm talking about the perception of the media and any potential signings possible impressions. I'm probably seen as delusional but think if we run good with injuries and have a bit of luck we can get 3rd, my point is I keep seeing people saying why didn't we sign x,y and z without actually considering if they'd want to join us, Marmawhateverthefuck he's called who's signing for Liverpool, never gave any indication he wanted to sign for us, words coming out from that side at the time seemed he wasn't interested, but now a bunch of people are criticizing the club saying we should've signed him and how much we fucked up missing out, same with Chiesa but @Shadow Puppetshas just stated in Guehi channel that he wouldn't come to us because of no European football, but let's just ignore the fact of whether someone actually wants to sign or not! Just seems a bit delusional from some to not be acknowledging the current situation we find ourselves in, not referring to yourself here @AyeDubbleYoo btw, don't recollect who it was doing it just seen it a bunch from people and seems to lack any reality.
  3. Upper mid-table means 7-9th right? You think that's a wild statement? Bookmakers generally have us coming 6th, because of the impact of Europe on Villa otherwise would be 7th at best.
  4. How many clubs do we think right now are more attractive than signing for us right now in the Premier League? City Arsenal Liverpool Spurs Chelsea Man U Aston Villa Assume most would be in agreement on those? Then possibly West Ham with the London factor, maybe Brighton appeal to some more than us being near London and generally widely regarded as a great run club who help players improve and grow. So that's circa 7-8 clubs just in the League who right now are more appealling than us, then what, 15-20 more clubs across Europe? So we are looking at around 30 clubs that are more attractive to potential signings rather than join us, then add in the fact that we literally can't afford to get ONE fucking big signing wrong because of PSR, it's not hard to see why the window has been slower than we'd hope or why there isn't a line of other options outside of our main targets. I think the idea we should pay £30-40 million for stopgap signings would be a big mistake long term, unless you know PSR will be completely scrapped, which nobody does. I get the frustrations, and there's highly likely been some mistakes made by those responsible, but we are in a tough spot all round right now and if we don't sign anybody this Summer I still think 5th and Champions League is achievable with a bit of luck and running good with injuries, call me part of the happy clapper brigade if you want, but I just think it's not as simple as people are making out, and the club have gave no reason for us to doubt their intentions that they clear want us to grow as quick as we can.

What a truly absurd situation we've allowed ourselves to get into where probably over half the fanbase are seething over what would be a club record purchase. Some people are clearly losing their heads but there's also certainly valid criticism over how this deal seems to have been handled, lessons need to be learned by those responsible, and fast! Palace have done as is their right, but, seem to have completely took the piss out of us here, optically it looks very poor on our side.
  6. I get the frustration that we've not made any significant progress in this window, but the amount of people flapping I find very odd. We basically know for certain that the club will attempt to spend the maximum we are allowed to every window, and we know we've tried to make big money signings in the two positions everyone's basically aligned on that we need to, but that hasn't worked out to date. That doesn't equate to failure, its just how it goes. Liverpool supposedly have the best guy in the business in Edwards, they persued Zubemendi, that fell through and doesn't seem they have a backup, plenty other examples as well am sure. I'm not saying we shouldn't be ambitious and for sure we need to keep progressing, and I get we live in a world we're literally every fucker has an opinion, and of course their's is the right one, but you'd be very hard pressed to make a valid argument that the club isn't in very good hands. So just let them do there thing and if we end up not making any major signings then so be it, at least if fucking PSR is still in place next Summer we'll be in a much better spot to attack that window aggressively. Massive season ahead, I for one have huge hope regardless of who, if anyone, that we bring in!
  7. Maybe a bit harsh to judge Tino regards that when we had 10 men for over 2/3rds of the game and Murphy gone off after 30 minutes so nobody for Tino too link up with.
  8. Lol, wouldn't think I'd been using PC's for over 30 years ffs
  9. Think I'm done, may change my 5.5m City defender.

I'm not targetting anyone with my message, just as a group felt a bit much. Personally, if I thought someone was being a dickhead or spoiling a thread and I cared enough to want to call them out for it would probably think the best way to address it would be to send them a PM and point it out to them that way, as I think calling someone out publically in a forum setting is never going to have much value as people usually get super defensive and just attack back as they feel attacked themself. Anyways, said my two penneth, carry on as you were all Enjoy your Saturday's!

Just a passing comment, but 10+ people all jumping on the same person, whether he's induced or not, seems a bit too much of a personal attack, humiliating, or whatever you want to call it. Confirmed proud snowflake but just seems a bit much... oh, and fingers crossed we get this deal done.

4/6 at bet365 to still be here when window closes, for those who like a short priced bet seems great value, would've expected much shorter, he ain't leaving!
  16. Inb4 the press conference is cancelled and NO servers explode
  17. If he's not guilty and has this hanging over him for two years that's also brutal for him, seems it cost him a move to City for starters. Just don't see why it would take two years to deal with this, or the 5+ years or whatever it is to deal with City, it's a very bad look for the image of the league, and given the billions they make would think the process could and should be a lot better. For sure I'm not an expert on these matters, just doesn't look good, if Pacqueta has cheated and then freely played for two years it opens up a whole can of worms with different permutations, for example, he scores in a game that caused a team to be relegated, just seems an absolute mess.
  18. Sure, but I assume the average murder case takes less than two years to deal with and I expect that's generally a lot more complicated process than this situation. Messages, emails, betting patterns etc, don't see why it would take two years to get to the truth of the matter.
  19. To go off on a tangent, it's reported Pacqueta will play the full season basically before anything's done which seems insane regards his spot-fixing case for the yellow cards, it started last Summer right? So he can play two full seasons without this being dealt with, what would be the justification for it taking so long? Seems absolutely insane, and hugely incompetent from the powers that be! Whole industry seems a mess from top to bottom, complete shambles!
  20. Kieran Maguire, who seems to be the go to guy for all things football finance, said it was likely City would lose the case.

Tbf he's very well spoken in interviews, seems he has his family close by him, seems pretty likeable to me. Obviously he has a huge ego, you have to have to reach the heights he already has, he's one of the top players at Real Madrid at 20 years old, seems a little overly judgemental to expect him not to be full of himself.

Possibly those suggesting that are clickbait tricks? From Sky News "He has been given a one-match ban - but that is "subject to a probationary period of one year, starting from the date of the present decision". This means the ban will only apply if there is a further incident in the next year." This is how I understood it, never ever heard of the other suggestion, sounds like bs... likely is bs

    England

The one game ban is suspended no? So he won't get any kind of ban unless he does something else? That's how I've understood it and think that's somewhat standard? He's done the celebration before so his story has some credibility, and the two different situations are not comparable really in terms of their respective offence. Don't doubt Bellingham's superstar status and eyes he brings, sponsors, money etc has been factored in which is clearly bullshit, but think a ban would've been harsh so outcome seems correct.

Sky have now added full 11 to start next game to that market and Pickford, Alexander-Arnold, Walker, Stones, Konsa, Saka, Rice, Bellingham, Mainoo, Foden, Kane is 2/5

When I was looking at it it didn't like right, I actually wasn't going to put Foden anywhere, and then thought to add him like this: <<<<<<<<<<<Foden>>>>>>>>>>>>> Think Bellingham as a 10, two DMs, and Foden free role has some potential to work, Trent and Saka providing the width and should still be solid defensively. Hopefully whatever he lands on we'll see an improvement.
