There won't be a lot of money in the market, but this is very clearly not a non story when there's always shrewdies about with more information than the average punter betting on the right side of it. Not saying it guarantees anything, just pointing out it's hardly bedwetting to have concern about something happening that the bookies have priced up as a coinflip (Liverpool now 4/6 and us 6/5).
-
Regards this being bedwetting btw, many times on here for sure the reaction is insanely over the top, it's not here sadly! Betting odds are enough to have genuine concern, bet365 just moved Liverpool price to 5/6 to be his next club on 3rd Sept, same 5/6 odds he's still with us, that's fucking nuts! Feels like amazing bet he's still with us, but I may well be delusional.

He has three years left on his contract, absolutely love the guy, whatever happens he's a legend, but there's no way we can allow him to go to Liverpool or any other English club without them paying an insane premium to get him, regardless of what he wants, and I'm very confident he'll respect the contract he has and not push this too much. I would rather we sell him for 50m less to a non English club next Summer then lose him now and don't think it's even close.

Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

bet365 have us at 1/5 to be the club he's at on 3rd Sept, 4/1 Liverpool, 8/1 Frankfurt, 16/1+ the rest -

I think it would be a classy touch for us to do something in his memory when it's their 1st league away game after the incident. Doesnt need to be a full stand tifo, just a show of respect for him would represent us well, and I wouldn't expect that to detract from the build up and atmosphere. -
Yeah that's a whole other problem, but there's basically 0% chance that it's a coincidence with the timing here.
-
It truly is unbelievable that this case has been going on since 2022, and the fucking week his contract is up at Arsenal he's charged, disgraceful from all involved in dragging this out that long!
-
Agree, was very odd last season when with the media making out it was some big achievement they got back in CL, as if they hadn't just spent a billion quid!
-
Clearly the system's rigged and it's sucking the life out of the game, but Chelsea are just exploiting that system, the lawmakers are the problem for me, and no player is going to care about that, it's actually working in their favour with these long contracts, and 99.9% of people in that position would do the same thing.
-
People can mock how Chelsea do things, but they've won everything there is to win in the last 10 years, are offering more money, and have a greater geographical appeal, but any player who backs themselves and goes there over us is to be ridiculed? Seems a little silly to me! I couldn't care less that he, Delap or whoever else wants to go to Chelsea or any other club over us, we'll just go buy someone else instead who will very likely be a huge success, just like every other major signing has been under the current management.
-
No chance he gets in any top 6 starting 11 right now. He's a decent PL player, can't see any justification to suggest he's shown a higher level than that to date. The fact we where forced to sell him and so got a bad deal is annoying, but there's no reason to be wishing he'll comeback.
-
He's part of the greatest team in my life time who finally won us a cup, and deserves legendary status for that alone.
-
Lol nah I couldn't pull it off mate! Just find it odd to give a shit, and odder to comment on it publicly even though sadly that is the way for most people these day. I expressed it more aggressively as I was pissed
-
I wanted to say this when it was happening about DCL and I am gunna say it now when it's Tripps... there's some huge fucking irony in grown men posting on an Internet forum talking about how other men are dressed and chastising them and thinking there the fucking weirdo... get a fucking grip and grow up!

If your flapping about no signings at this point, sorry, but your unwell! It's the 13th of June, we don't restart the season next week, we don't even return to pre season for a month or so, I don't want to be harsh with my words but it's honestly bordering on moronic. (That's the politest way I can word it!) I really thought that winning that 1st trophy would've changed the mentality of the fanbase but shockingly to me so many still want to cling on to the negativity and despair. I don't remember who made the post but they hit the nail on the head when they said it doesn't matter the name of who we actually sign, because whoever it is we know they'll be the right fit. Our recruitment has been 10/10, we have every reason to trust the people in charge of the process from top to bottom. So chill the fuck out, embrace the rumours, and whilst you reflect on the greatest season in our lifetime, be ready for it to be topped!

They'll very much care about the 100m for winning it

Data's not everything but think using it for Goalkeeping performance is fair: Save% Pope is 9th GA per 90 he's 7th Playing time is 14th Saves he's 13th Pass completed % he's 17th Number of defensive actions outside of the box he's 2nd Here's a link if anyone wants to look for more positive data for Pope - https://fbref.com/en/comps/9/keepersadv/Premier-League-Stats Attempted to be balanced as possible, but I'm not seeing anything to suggest he's this top class keeper in other areas to accept his woefulness with his feet. Sure eye test also matters, but we are likely to be biased in that regard and the data here matters in my opinion. We are a top 6 team, we want to be CL most seasons, I'm not seeing anything in the data except his ability as a sweeper keeper, which I'd agree he's very good at, to suggest we should continue with Pope as our #1.

Must be so amusing when you negotiate with Man U and you just know they'll pay what you want, daft cunts!
-
Fuck Ashley, fuck any discussion about Ashley, and fuck Man U!
-
Southampton 1-0 West Ham 0-1 Leicester 0-3 Man U 4-1 Chelsea 2-0 Didn't score in any of these games which we won mate. I do agree with you though that a backup Striker should be very high priority, we need someone to take the load off.
-
In the league he fully missed 4 games: Liverpool away lost 2-0 Arsenal away lost 1-0 City home drew 1-1 Everton away drew 0-0 Wolves away he only played first half, we were losing 1-0 when he went off, we won 2-1. Palace away 1-1 he played 22 minutes. This means very little, Isak is Elite, but to suggest we struggle to win or score without him is absurd to me, just like the Bruno statement people previously kept pushing!
-
Is this gunna be the 25/26 season version of "we can't win without Bruno"?
-
We are talking specifically about CL games though since of course if he's sold he'll be replaced.
