  1. Remaining fixtures for Man U, Spurs, Chelsea and Newcastle Utd. Played on the Mon 06, Sat 11, Sun 12, Tue 14, Wed 15 and Sun 19 May (Sorry, don't know how to do tables. Spurs included for my own perverse pleasure of them dropping a load more bollocks and us stealing 5th scenario). Crystal P vs Man U Newcastle vs Brighton , Spurs vs Burnley , Notts Forest vs Chelsea Man U vs Arsenal Spurs vs Man City Brighton vs Chelsea , Man U vs Newcastle Brentford vs Newcastle , Brighton vs Man U , Chelsea vs Bournemouth , Sheff U vs Spurs I have us holding on to 6th place
  2. Sell if the right offer comes in, BUT, don't dismiss the tried and tested experience. Wilson, fit, almost guarantees goals; a young but skilled younger man will miss more than Callum would.
  3. We can still hunt Spurs down so I'm hoping for the opposite.
  4. Well that was horrific, CP actually reminded me of us last season. The high press in unison and blowing opposition away with the speed of transitions. Our passing was so profligate at times. It is not a thought I'm comfortable with but I do sometimes wonder about Eddie's ability to change a game's dynamics with tactical nous. Oh! And Burn and Longstaff are NOT the level we are looking for, especially annoying as they are both homegrown locals.
  5. Some background on Tiago Pinto He left Roma Feb 3rd, 24 Decent Athletic article here too.
  6. Shit! Does that mean we have to re-evaluate his status as a cunt?
  7. Doesn't show much emotion does he, even wheeling away from the goal not the faintest trace of a smile. Tino 'stonecold '. And when oh when are the club going to ditch that awful interviewer?
  8. You've just taken the wildly disparate views of two different posters and equated them with the board as a sum. Don't think it is the board that is weird.
  9. It has to be said, even if several forum stalwarts have apoplexy, it might be time for Tripps to take a back seat.
  10. I'd just like to say Danny Murphy is a godawful co-commentator, absolute pits!

    Joe Willock

Thought Miley was good again overall, but yeah, great to see him back - we've missed him.
  12. Out for 3 months with a bruised tit! Heard everything now.
  13. This is possibly the biggest flaw, if flaw it is. The loyalty shown to a winning 11 is set too high, in fact it would seem to the eventual detriment to the team. We've seen often enough when changes were forced that the players came in were fresh and motivated to do well. The same would surely have applied to a player rested for a game - they come back fresher and keen to re-establish themselves as a mainstay.
  14. Well a very small minority are generating a whole lot of discussion, which is all I was referencing; but I'll rephrase my initial question for you. I really don't recall but did we (a very small minority) turn on (grumble about) Benitez so quickly after a poor run of results?

  17. Wow, I did not see that coming. That was last season's Newcastle, who have been spotted all too rarely this one. Hopefully restores a lot of confidence and belief going forwards.
  18. Can I be the first to say he looks fuck all like Haaland, other than the barnet!
  19. I am puzzled by how so many of the posters on here undervaluate our players. We have all seen the prices players sell for in, admittedly an insane modern football market, yet our players are thought of as almost worthless. Miggy's stats have him in the top metrics in many areas. He is a current international that scores goals for his country. Now, personally, I want him gone as just not good enough! His decision making and final passes are nowhere near what we need going forward, but don't think that means he is not of serious value to another team. He actually reminds me of Lee Clark, not in his overall play but in the box. Clarkie got the nickname Jigsaw because he awlays went to pieces in the box - sure he scored some crackers, so did Miggy, but most times it results in wasted shots/opportunities. He is worth £30 million easilly imo.
  20. Just had to go back to page 270 to read anything worth reading! What a car crash this became. No-one seems to have taken into account one of the main reasons he came back to England. For his wife, his family. I can't see him wanting to scoot off to Germany just for the next year or two. I watched some mini meltdowns over Dan Ashworth leaving but held my tongue, (fingers off the keyboard), though I was personally sure he was going nowhere. Well neither is Trippier, that said - I can't see him featuring so much next season, so I was more confident about Ashworth.
  21. Not to disagree but I feel I've been waiting all my life. I'm 65 in March and I'm close to starting to pray that I see success before I shuffle off into whatever lies beyond. When we became the first team in Chamion's Leaugue history to lose our opening three group games but still qualify I thought we were close, it wasn't to be though.
  22. How? As the rules currently exist the teams with most income from sponsers, corporate etc. will always hold a distinct advantage. The bigger they are the stronger they become.
  23. Just read it and was about to post same. Great read and that is some mindset he has, the dedication of a winner is there for all to see. -----
  24. We not signed any cunt yet that has everyone up in arms, pitchforks out and ready to burn the league just to stop us? Disgusting is all I can say!
