They did, Hecke. I never bothered to investigate what minute he went off but the video shows the challenge that produced the second yellow and therefore red.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MeyQL0pHXs I know friendlies aren't the best measure but it looks like Poch is making a difference already - or did Brighton go backwards? I suspect the former.

Everyone is free to express their opinion, they are also free to not get offended if other posters don't agree with their opinion. It's not difficult to acknowledge or agree that the club do have a lot more data to work with and actually know what the big picture is when making their decisions.

Ah sorry. As far as I know it is free on NUFC.co.uk - I read that somewhere.

It's on Sky in UK, hence club only showing it outside UK area.

Thank you, the above mentioned schedule must be a replay then? I'll check the schedule again, perhaps I can watch it live...

What time is the actual kick-off in Atlanta? Official site list the game as 11:00pm -clearly incorrect as Sky Sports schedule for monday have it on from 9pm to 11pm.

If I remember rightly the Saudi team at the world cup surprised a few with their levels? -
Genuinely believe we've just upgraded the first eleven in terms of what the lad brings to overall possession and xG, very direct and swift when the openings arise. I'll likely miss Maxi's flair and trickery, but at the end of the day - workrate counts. (copyright: Eddie Howe)

Good header for the goal.

Getting closer to a quid a minute.... and we'll still buy 'em! "Are you not entertained?" (insert:Russel Crowe gif)

Longstaff still firing shots straight at the keeper. Gatesheed almost score next attack. -
I am not a language expert by any means but surely the word 'United' implies a collective? Newcastle Utd are sounds more correct to my ear than Newcastle Utd is. At the bottom of every news article page on the official website it has the slogan "We Are United" for instance. (Of course the word WE preceded Are, so not the best example. ) Not even mentioning American conventions as I wouldn't know.

The thing that always gets me is the posts that claim they are obsessed with us, yet that thread is constantly updated like it means something!

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)

It's on here in Ireland on RTE2 at 19:30 (local time) if you succeed with VPN. -
I think it would be a good buy, especially at that price. He has very good close control and knows how to go past people with it. He finds his passes with quicker thinking from a team perspective than our current main left wing main man. Add in a bit of Howe coaching and time he may well go next level. I understand Maxi is a bit of an icon because of how good he looks with the ball at his feet when in the flow and especially at full speed, but so much comes to absolutely nothing as the end result. Genuinely think we could look back on this as an upgrade despite current majority thinking. All that said, that was the Telegraph reported it first. Anyone remember Barella? We got Tonali two weeks later. NPW, Meh!

It's a very good result. Well done. You should do the rest of the team too. I assume your avatar is another of your caricatures?

Trippier can't cope with CL and PL next season without breaking down at some point, fit as he is that is too many high intensity games. Personally I could see Howe willing to drop Tripps from a fair few PL games in favour of keeping him sharp for the CL. Also bear in mind the nature of reporting, 90effing% of it stems from speculation if not outright sensationalism. A further 'also', based on your "assessment of everything you've seen of Howe's management", - Howe has never, perhaps, felt he had a like for like replacement available. I'd suggest Livramento might have more energy than a 33yr old over the course of a season. I would not be at all surprised to see Tonali, for instance, taking a lot of our free kicks next season. There would be more opportunity for Livramento than you speculate in my opinion. We seriously don't know enough about Howe to make those judgements on the basis of a season and a half with a limited squad.

Personally hoping he ain't wrong about this one then!

First time for everything I guess. I'm a fan, but he's always been too inconsistent or erratic for me. His recent increase in defensive effort and releasing the ball better (thanks to coaching and his willingness to listen/learn) has certainly been an improvement but I'm far from convinced he can even make it at the top despite his skill and flair. -
How old are you? That's all I've got, if you don't think Robert deserves legend status you may be from a different planet - based on the answer to your age.
