  1. I though Fulham was fighting for the last european spot..
  2. We are indeed likely to finish above, but there is still a world where they finish 5th and we finish 6th, so that still makes them rivals.
  3. Fulham taking 6 off of us, then gifting 3 to all our rivals.
  4. So efficient once again..
  5. Bodø Glimt player said that the press from Tottenham was shait, and talked about how their press wasn't even better than a mid table norwegian team. "That's who we are, mate!"
  6. With 4 games to go you have already avoided relegation. During our Mike Ashley years we often had to bite our nails until the final gameweek. Who are we to judge!
  7. Actually really impressive to hold them to just a 2 goal deficit away with 3 players out. I thought it was over in the first half. Now they have a huge opportunity here, as I expect them to win at home.
  8. Wonder if Palace will be careful with their selection, even though the final is still 2-3 weeks away.
  9. This was posted right at the 1-0 goal. Hadn't even seen the 1st goal yet.
  10. Don't underestimate how they drop 2 stinkers and somehow get through anyways, in the most ridiculous manner possible. Edit: there you go..
  11. Unfortunate to face a team used to the english climate this time around. The climate won't be as much of a benefit in the return leg.
  12. Ange weren't messing around after all when he said that he allways wins a trophy in his second season.
  13. Might be that they had problems picking out the right player with the tech. Purely speculative. They could've just used their eyes if it was obvious, but you know how VAR is. Everything needs to be proved with tech if it can be etc.
  14. Must have been some other player that were offside by interfering with play? Maybe they had to look into how much he interfered etc. Otherwise it seems mad that they took so long. Or maybe they spent time confirming that semi automated picked the correct player. Don't know how the tech works.
  15. Someone reporting on our player wanting to stay? Did anyone pay them big money?
  16. Interesting how we are not seeing as much talk of Madrid being better without Mbappe as Haaland at Man City. Not even saying they are better off without, but if it was Haaland, it would be talked about so much. "Last year they won La Liga and CL, and then Haaland came in, and now they won nothing. He is the issue." Etcetc.
  17. Was massive for an entire season at 22 before the injuries (plus the loan spell), but yeah, lets forget about the 50 or so games that he has player really well for us. Outside of those 50 ish games, there's just a couple of moments.
  18. So Arsenal finishing 6th instead of 5th while winning CL will simply remove an english europa league spot for no reason, so that england has less european spots? Why? CL would still be 1-6.. The same if Chelsea win ECL. If we then finish top 5, the conference league spot is simply removed, with no other differences and therefore 1 less spot in total. Also some other confusing things like: If Newcastle finish top 5, Arsenal finish 6th and win the CL (hah!) Champions League: 1-5, Arsenal as UCL winners (6) Europa League: 8, FA Cup winners Conference League: -- Okay, but what about 7th?
  19. In 20/21 Man City won after 34 with 80 vs Man Utd at nr 2 with 67. In 19/20 Liverpool had 92 after 34, while Man City at nr. 2 had 69. Sure, Man City didn't get their usual 90+ season to compete with them, but that has only been going on since 17/18. Before Man Citys era of breaking records, Liverpools current season would win most seasons, and it would be secured around this time. It's a bit unfair to assume that competing against the best ever PL side is the usual standard. About us being at 3rd: if we win 3 and lose 1 from the last 4, we will be at the same points as our 4th place season. We've also won 19 games this season, the same as our 4th season. The difference is that we drew a lot of games that season, and have taken some beating this season, but a win and a loss is more effective than 2 draws, nomatter how bad the loss is. If we go 3-0-1 now, we would have 6 more losses than 22/23, despite ending up on the same total points. It was allways the case that you could afford bad runs when fighting for top 4, and sometimes 3rd aswell.
  20. Weren't Liverpool winning comfortably and on their way to breaking tons of records until covid truly hit the league? I think their record was something like 28-1-0 when the postponement of games and empty stadiums started happening. They actually only started dropping points after the covid break that happened. Without covid they would have probably beat Man Citys 100 point record.
  21. Yet another weekend of Man City being shit.. 4 wins in a row and 8 games unbeaten. Will struggle against the mighty mid table teams.

    Dogawful Officiating

Whos job is it to calculate it? Is it all on the ref? Maybe the 4th official or someone else should do it, because sometimes the refs has no clue at all, almost as if they are not even using their stop watch.

    The Other 18

Imagine if Villa ends up at 7th and Palace wins the cup.. What an anti climax for them after what was looking like a great season.
  24. I know that would have been a better game to win, but on the flip side Palace were way better today than against us.

    Joe Willock

I don't think he's another player that we've outgrown, atleast not per definition. It's all about the injuries for me. At 22 he was showing glimpses of world class. I think some people just see it as a purple patch and forget how well he played that entire season. To me it was more of a young player starting to show his true potensial. I'm not convinced we should keep him with how he's playing after all the injuries, but I wouldn't put him in the same category as for instance Almiron and Longstaff who were never going to be world class over time.
