Not going to judge a player on specific games, but I still remember that 4-1 PSG game where he had a 55% pass rate. We were up by 2-0 (and 2-1 later), and he gave the ball away on atleast 5 occasions with completely unrealistic throughballs. That was a situation where we could do with a little more composure.

I didn't think Tonali was that type of player to be honest. Not that I have seen him much. His pass % has never really been that high, he seems to like going for risky passes, and his strength was supposed to be longer passes. Maybe I'm wrong though.
-
Him and Everton started really poorly last season aswell. I feel like that is a theme with Dyche. Besides, the fixtures are not amazing either. But I will give him a few more chances.
-
He's 24, so shouldn't be too far off of the finished product.
-
Kind of crazy if this is true and Palace still keep rejecting us..
-
Trying to push the move, no doubt.

Why did I go for Pickford..
-
Martinelli in a cup game comes to mind. They are supposed to do it still.

Here we go again. How does Schar get a red for headbutt, but not Diaz?
-
And a red for moving his head, apparently. 2 yellows and a direct red on top of it.
-
Yeah, Schär was the agressor at first. But.. who was responsible for the contact? From what I have seen, Diaz caused the contact by moving his head. By definition, the one who moves the head forward is the one that should be red carded..?
-
Honestly, after seeing several replays, isn't Diaz the one moving his head towards Schär? Why doesn't he get the red instead then? Because he was the one rolling on the floor?
-
Whether you feel like it should be a red or not doesn't matter, the rules does.
-
Howe subs him at 59, denying him 4 additional points, and then he hands in a transfer request.
-
Probably something silly like "underlying numbers" due to a very high amount of touches and passes last season. Not sure how the new bonus system works, but maybe those things will matter more. He is consistenly top 3 (even 1 often) for touches and passes out of all players in the league. Still, their defensive record will be way more important anyways.

You won't be saying that when McNeil bags a hat trick in the opener.
-
His clause was £60m? Edit: nevermind, that was for clubs in CL or something like that.
-
Here we are sweating about £65m as our only "big" signing this window (so far) due to PSR, meanwhile Chelsea just spent another £50m on Neto like it's nothing, after spending 3 times more than us in the last few windows and having made several pricey signings this window.

I'm looking at these away games for Gordon.. Surely he will do better on the road this time around?
-
Nearly 1 year of energy charged up into this game. Red card after 10 minutes. Calling it.
-
Ofcourse, in part because he was pushing for a transfer, amongst other things. Not exactly the same, but rumours has it that Guehi is doing that aswell, or atleast wants the deal to happen. Ofcourse they are going to go on about how they are better off without him. That would be the narrative here aswell if we thought that one of ours were pushing for a transfer to some club that we didn't particularly like.
-
Not sure if I'd take him at this price point, but if we had a player pushing for a transfer then I'm sure many here would be talking about how good the money is and that we can easily do without. It's just a way of trying to cope or staying positive, even if a "bad" thing happens. I see it a lot in here, where every outcome is allways made to be a positive one in every situation. So I wouldn't really put too much weight into what Palace fans are saying. I recall Everton fans laughing about £45m for Gordon. Again, they were trying to cope and to turn it into a positive.

And Kelly is injury prone aswell..

Oscar Bobb on crutches.. Some rumours about a broken leg.
