  1. City has lost 3 games in the league since end of december. Those 3 being against Arsenal, Liverpool and Forest. In the same period they've won 9, and while they haven't looked all that convincing in just about any of those, they are winning games anyways. They don't need many chances. Liverpool hasn't exactly looked like the galacticos, but yet they are on their way to ~90 points. Don't let the gameplay decieve you, it's the results that counts. Looking far from impressive doesn't deduct points from you.
  2. Well, the only way to look at it is to compare the ratio between home games and away games. Lets go by points again. Glimt: 2,45/0,97 = 2,53 Spurs: 2,47/1,33 = 1,86 Man Utd: 1,96/1,57 = 1,25 Athletic: 3/1,33 = 2,26 The only team remotely close to Bodøs home vs away ratio is Athletic, and their ratio can't be taken seriously as the sample size is too small. It's not like their home form would be 3 points per game if they had played the same amount of games as Bodø Glimt.
  3. Remember that discussion we had after the Villa game about which of them who are a true competitor for top 5. Seems like we were all both wrong and right at the same time. Forest are dropping down towards 6th (so far atleast), and Villa are still climbing and becoming a real threat. It's ridiculously tight at the moment..
  4. Pretty sure that home and away stat isn't normal, though? Lets look at it in points terms: 90p from 37 at home (2,45 per game). 35p from 36 away (0,97 per game). I know home games are allways easier in Europe, but this is basically the difference between comfortably winning the league and barely avoiding relegation if it was league form. Not exactly a like for like analogy, but the point is, the difference seems abnormaly high. So if anything that reinforces the idea that their home advantage is huge. Doesn't mean that what they are doing isn't highly impressive, and noone was saying that it's all about the home advantage anyways.
  5. I don't fancy Everton much in this one, but obviously hope they can pull off another surprise result like the one last weekend. I think De Bruyne will do them, as he seems to have found a bit of form.

    Scored in both I watched.

I wonder what sort of clubs that would be in for him. Chelsea? I'm not seeing the top clubs in Europe wanting him. They wouldn't spend loads on that type of player, especially after this season.

    Jacob Murphy

Tuchel is probably questioning himself as to whether he is having some kind of random Newcastle bias, or if all these players are really just this good all of a sudden.
  9. I still think Man City isn't much to think about purely from a top 5 perspective, as I think it's highly unlikely for them to stumble that much against those teams. After Forests game against Villa I still thought they would make it, but I was surprised to see them lose again at home to Everton. They're still in a decent spot, but if they get yet another loss (or draw) next weekend then things are starting to look really scary for them.
  10. We all know how Howe is one of the very best when it comes to getting the best out of the less good players in the squad. Heck, he might even be the best at that out there. But he also gets the best out of the purples. It doesn't matter who you are, he'd probably be able to make some of us look like PL players, if he'd be given some time to pull it off.
  11. +11 gd in the last 3.. It's now better than all the competitors (but worse than Arsenal).
  12. Edited 1 year later when we were flying?
  13. I don't know anything about Newcastle or Mike Ashley = I don't know anything about what Mike Ashley has/hasn't done = I don't know a single thing Mike Ashley did wrong = Mike Ashley hasn't done anything wrong.
  14. While they're going on about how our expectations are ridiculous.. they expect Mike Ashley of all people to do all that.
  15. When an entire fanbase deeply hates someone, barely without any exception, they usually have a very good reason. No clue why so many fans of other clubs has such a hard time comprehending that.
  16. While this is true, even something like 3-2-2 would probably be enough. We won't win every game, but this is the case for our competitors aswell.
  17. Vote yes. Let them have him. Just like WBA happily took Brucey. Let them learn the lesson.
  18. Certain teams would have gotten like 10 min here...
  19. They love to sign those. It's their identity these days.

    Harvey Barnes

Remember in his first few games he was often confused as to whether he should pass or shoot, and ended up making a mess of it. All that insecurity is gone (might have just been as he was settling anyways), and his instincts are mostly on point now.
  21. Wasn't really concered about it before anyways, but we are pretty much guaranteed Europa League unless Palace wins the cup. We won't finish lower than 7th, no way.
