Had this on my mind all day. If we are wanting to add depth to the squad in summer then I could see us going for him as an affordable Wilson replacement who also offers us something different. Not a fan imo as he seems quite a poor finisher GK - Trafford £20m ST - DCL £0 Then the rest to spend on CB + RW. With anymore only happening anyone leaves / is sold
-
I completely forgot about DCL and the rumours around him existing ffs
-
Nice to read all the praise on him. Beating Arsenal twice and Liverpool in a final with a score or 5-1 is insane, proves his tactical game is top. Would be one of our best seasons ever if we can finish 5th I quite like how despite his success of late, he still has areas he/we can improve on, like substitutions, rotation during busy schedules, our possession game etc Considering the fact he seems to obsess over the game and improving, it makes me think he can still take us up another level or 2 going forward Though some of potential improvements I mentioned will require good recruitment to enable it
-
Gonna be interesting to see those 2 battle it out for the starting spot.
-
Wonder if we will aggressively target transfers related to clubs with FFP issues who need to sell by the June end date Without thinking to hard about it, I'd imagine Chelsea, Everton, Villa, and Forest might need to?
-
Those are all big names and would cost a bomb, so more realistically I probably expect us to get Trafford, and look somewhere abroad for RW and CB, with any other additions being young, talented replacements for anyone who leaves
-
My dream signings for summer would be RW - Guler / Mbuemo CM - MGW + Rigg CB - Tapsoba FB - Tyrick Mitchell GK - Chevalier Think if we had someone like MGW, he'd give us more flexibility across our midfield, especially against low blocks / breaking a side down. He's also been playing as a 6 for Forest so could be used to rotate others across midfield. A midfield of Bruno, Tonali, Joelinton, MGW, Miley, 1 of Longstaff/Willock after selling the other, with Rigg ready in a year or 2 would be class Chevalier - haven't seen him at all but is being linked with the very best in Europe like Man City etc Tyrick Mitchell - With futures of Tripper / Targett unknown, we need 1 good addition at fullback. Went for someone on a free assuming we allocate buffer elsewhere Striker - I know others want a third striker, but if we had these 6 across the front 3 - Isak, Osula, Gordon, Barnes, Mbuemo, Murphy How would we fit in a Delap etc? Would probably mean Osula gets 0 minutes as he does this season but at some point he's gonna have to be used (unless he is crap, which I doubt)

I reckon Wharton will be partnering Rice by the time the WC comes round
-
Huijsen seems nothing like Khusanov in style or attributes, I'd assume we want a very specific profile to partner Botman long term. So don't think we will go for Huijsen imo Though he looks like he'll go to the very top
-
He's such a 'what if' in an exciting way. Like what if he is absolutely class next season, he seems extremely quick and fairly big, and a very intense runner, can imagine / hope for him to be brilliant at running in behind, kind of like Haaland at dortmund (ambitious example I know)
-
That save against Jones in the second half was absolutely quality, was something he'd do on the regular for us during his first 1.5 years for us. Unreal reflexes
-
Watched a few highlights videos of Bakayoko earlier. Looks a quality player and not just a speed marchant / transition type of player. Would love him
-
I'm not crazy about him. Hoping there is someone more talented out there for us
-
I can't imagine how potentially good a summer could be after a cup win and a (hopeful) top 5 finish We've done some great things with this squad and Eddie, I reckon most managers would have regressed having the same squad for 2 seasons or more, imagine us with 2/3 starters and some better cover on the bench
-
I have seen a video where it sounds / looks like Van Disney says 'see you in pre season' or something like that to Isak
-
Literally. We looked like seasoned cup winners, like we'd been in many finals before already Amazing performance around, always thought PSG at home would be my favourite / go back to and watch game but now this is by far
-
Is there anyway of watching the full game on TV? There's 30 min highlights on ITVX, but wanting to watch the full thing
-
Haha, sure Burnley are super possession based so no chance he'd go there Tbh I am a massive fan of Pope, would rather have him and a Trafford, than Trafford and Dubs, just seems too weak (until Trafford proves himself, even assuming we sign him!) Though Pope needs to find form
-
Would also think Pope would be on the dream list of an Everton team. If he can establish some form, he'd be the perfect keeper for the low block, brexit style of play
-
I know he's slow as a snail, but I feel his game doesn't revolve around his athleticism so much, compared to a Joelinton etc Can see him being a bit like Gundogan in style, and going for a while longer. But who knows, he could do a Casemiro or be a Thiago Silva But I'd agree next summer will be the last time we can command a big fee for him
-
I know what you mean that this summer / next summer will be the last chance to get a big fee from him, but he's got years left performing at a high level for sure
-
Konate injured or just cramp / knackered?
-
Would you rather win the Premier League or the Champions League? What's the bigger achievement? I think for each club it's probably different, e.g for City and Bayern, winning the CL probably does them better since they have recently dominated their leagues. Whereas for Madrid, their CL dominance is their standout achievement etc For me though it would 100% be the Premier League
-
Do we want a Liverpool win or lose after a gruelling 90 mins and extra time? Feel like wanting them to lose and be deflated would be best for us, but then worry they'd fireback with vengeance against us to get their first trophy and to get rid of any CL disappointment
