  1. Doubt we'd have a third striker, most teams don't, likely we'd rely on one of our wingers to cover as third choice, which should be sufficient
  2. No, but if we have 2 strikers and a Gordon etc as back up, dont you want them both to be reliable? If we could get a decent fee for a 30+ year old Wilson and replace him with an understoody to Isak, who'd presumably be able to support and learn across the 50-60 games we play, I'd think we'd be in a better position, if not short term then definitely long term imo Plus, Isak always seems knackered after 60 mins and has his own injury issues this season, there's a massive role for our second striker to play, whether Wilson or a new one
  3. True, though Wood was absolutely shite and being available shouldn't mean they aren't good Wood and Wilson are canny old, you'd hope there'd be a few young, talented and hopefully non injury-pone strikers we've scouted and could consider Personally I wish we got Joao Pedro, think he was 35m and would have probably fitted quite well in the team when Isak has been injured
  4. I've not seen him ever, but he is rated incrediblely highly from all the twitter experts, and apparently wanted by the very top teams, like you say a dreamy coup if it comes off
  5. You get ones that are reliable in terms of fitness across a full season, though
  6. Aye, always has his head up, massive loss for us in games we want / should keep the ball
  7. Didn't realise how good Musiala is, wow Kim seems shite, remember he was highly regarded when BM got him
  8. Yeah good point, can certainly think of more quality CB's than I can strikers, RW etc Though I do wonder if we have someone in mind for each position who we apparently followed for a long time, like we did Gordon, Isak, Tino etc where we are prepared to go big to get them
  9. Diomande links today, probably a load of shite Would love him, though can't help but think a club at the very top would likely be after him
  10. Gallagher ain't no McDominate super sub ?
  11. Out of interest, anyone who has watched and rates Tosin able to tell me how he plays? Is he aggressive or more of an organiser, does he have the pace our CB's lack etc Can't say I've ever paid attention to him!
  12. Aye have noticed that, unsure whether that's just his fitness limit, or if it's because he's had many recurring injuries since being here and he hasn't been able to have a solid length of time to get as fit as a Gordon etc
  13. Its disgraceful imo. Not sure why it doesn't get much heat like FFP does Maybe because in most leagues, it's pretty much the same teams who make the CL so no one cares
  14. Think Lascelles is the additional spanner in the works, with his age and a year left, we for sure need 2 CBs unless we risk getting 1 and having 3 CB's and Krafth till they are back
  15. Yeah for sure, our mid block was unreal last year with a fully fit defence

    Joe Willock

He was one of the players I was most excited for this season, genuinely believe he is incredibly talented and was hoping he'd kick on after being excellent last year
  17. The fact we haven't abused this, even potentiallly under valuing maxi, while the Saudis paid crazy premiums for other clubs players, surely means we could get a actual decent fee for them
  18. Yeah makes sense! Do you not see a role for the likes of a MGW / Maddison player for us then? Not saying I do or don't, just an interesting topic
  19. Thinking of our potential recruitments for the summer for RW / attacking options Would people rather we signed a MGW player for the RW slot who is versatile across the midfield 3 Or a inverted forward like Nico Williams who is versatile across the front 3?
  20. People have short memories, it wasn't long ago where people questioned Isaks ability/fitness and I even seen a few people say we should sell him to get a more reliable striker, now people are saying he's better than Shearer Willock was quality last season and has attributes non of our other midfielders have, really hope next season he gets a chance to shine again
  21. True, but last season our bread and butter was not losing and rarely conceding Maybe will a fully fit team, we'd get back to that
  22. My point on the price was purely to parody Dan Burn haha But you raise a good point, similarly I thought Arsenal paid a lot for Declan Rice, however if this fee stops Man City getting him and further enhancing their premiership dominance... Then it's worth it
