I don't know, man. At the time, it seemed like persistent injuries were starting to take their toll on him. It definitely felt to me like Chelsea were getting a player on the downward slide. Liverpool were more than happy to get rid and replace him with Carroll and Suarez.

Plenty of better players than the rat have transferred to other supposed bigger clubs and flopped, when beforehand you'd have thought they'd be a certainty to succeed. Eden Hazard, Kaka and Griezmann are some names that come to mind straightaway.
