  1. Apart from Woltemade, there is absolutely zero guile or invention within this squad. Everything is just so disjointed and harum-scarum.
  2. Understandable. He's played every game for us, as well as Germany since he signed.
  3. Making a shit West Ham look like Brazil 1970. Awful stuff.
  4. You know Liverpool are down to the bare bones when they've got Joe Pesci on the bench.

Those two are rated exactly as they should be, which is bang average.
  6. So that's another highly-rated young talent ruined by Manure. No sympathy for Sesko, though. He made his choice, he knew what he was signing up for.
  7. Great chance for Woltemade to get his first hat-trick for us.
  8. Confirmed by Slot during his presser. Wasn't it supposed only be a minor groin niggle? Well, he's now going to be missing his third game in a row, and counting.

Zidane also said Scholes was the toughest opponent he ever faced. Apparently he's also the only English player who would get into Pep's great Barcelona side of the late noughties. Personally, I just don't see it. I mean, he was a very good player, but some of the hyperbole is way over the top.

Bergkamp absolutely is a PL great, the guy was an artist on a football pitch. I wish there were more players like him in the game today that are graceful, instead of the proliferation of physical monsters that we have.

Paul Scholes. Wildly overrated since retirement. People talk about him like he's one of the greatest players of all time.
  12. After Shearer, Shevchenko was my favourite player. Was gutted when he signed for Chelsea.
  13. I don't know, man. At the time, it seemed like persistent injuries were starting to take their toll on him. It definitely felt to me like Chelsea were getting a player on the downward slide. Liverpool were more than happy to get rid and replace him with Carroll and Suarez.
  14. 7 in 29 is poor even for the ultra defensive Italian league of that era. Especially as he was brought in to replace Platini and Boniek as the focal point of that side. He simply wasn't good enough. No shame in that, Italy was the toughest league in the world at that time. Of course, Liverpool fans will tell you none of it was his fault, that he failed in Italy.
  15. Absolutely love him. Complete antithesis to the rat.
  16. It is likely he will come good at some point, but it's not a given. Plenty of better players than the rat have transferred to other supposed bigger clubs and flopped, when beforehand you'd have thought they'd be a certainty to succeed. Eden Hazard, Kaka and Griezmann are some names that come to mind straightaway.
  17. Married a bird old enough to be his mother. And it's all been downhill since then.

We can do all of that ourselves. Don't need the mackems for any of that. When outsiders think about football in the North East they only think about us anyway. If anything, Sunderland have done more harm to the perception of football in the North East, and will probably continue to do so, despite this purple patch they are having. It's best if they just disappeared back into the lower leagues, never to be heard from again.
  19. Villa looking good. They are going to be in contention for top 4/5/6 this season.
  20. Hope they can do it. That league is desperate for a third force.
  21. Hes incredibly fortunate a lot of the blame game has fallen on the shoulders of Mo Salah and his wretched form. People aren't talking too much about the rat...yet.
