Partey May as well actually sign a genuine top talent if going down the scumbag route and get Greenwood in that case.
-
Oh certainly, but to get to top there’s like three paths. A defensive rigid approach, a possession and bore teams to death, or press and quick attacks. This PSG side and peak Klopp Liverpool are fun are the aspiration for me.
-
PSG are the fluid pressing monster I want us to aspire too. Can do possession, but it’s not their main point, it’s the press and quick transitions in attack.
-
PSG can’t cope with corners. Two now where both headers should’ve been on target at a minimum.

Twat in the crowd with the whistle needs throwing out.

Reinforces my viewpoint that people need to stop judging players based on how they are under certain managers, and writing them off. If the scouting is correct, personality correct, and they’re a match to the manager/club, someone who can be crap/poor at a previous prem club can be very good at another.

He’s got two years left on his deal, don’t think they can expect anything more than when they went down, which was around £20m mark. They’re going down again this season regardless if he’s there or not, so better off getting the money and investing into a new long term goalkeeper. That no other clubs are linked whatsoever, makes me strongly believe we have it all agreed in principle with Trafford and it’s just a matter of time,
-
At least it was done before getting to 100+ pages like Guehi. Just get Trafford done. Proper good goalkeeper who will be Englands number 1 for 2028.
-
Bracola got 3 years left. Never leaving for like 45m

Playing probably 48-50 games, do you think he would get through that with no injury again? Two seasons in a row he’s picked something up, and he’s had surgery on both shoulders now. There’s enough question marks there to consider it a priority position. Isak to Osula and Pope to Dubravka. It’s that type of drop off we need to reduce.

Enjoying his break with Pacqueta. Shame Pacqueta could be banned for ages, because I’d be wanting us to tap into that relationship to get him here.

Pep going for a gegen press this season will be a wild change

Sunderland and Burnley guaranteed down. Then Leeds will be next closest unless they nail their signings. Probably only have them close to staying up due to their home crowd. West Ham it depends how they click under Potter during pre season. Got enough for a safe season if it remotely clicks. Palace could be in trouble if they start like they did this season, as Europe will make it very hard to correct that form. Everton / Wolves are functioning well with competent managers to be comfortable bottom half. If West Ham are named to be down there, I think you have to put Spurs down there too. Take Ange first 10 games out of things, it’s 66 games and 80 points, with 116 goals conceded. That’s a long stretch of some terrible form, that is only getting worse.

Frimpong is woeful defending though. Be great going forward as a winger with Salah tucked in, but there’s massive pressure on the CBs to do a lot of recovery runs.
-
They’re signing that AC Milan CM, so guess not. Might leave us with a run at him?
-
He’s too good for u19s, so makes sense. Better off working with us if he’s not with u21s.

Screams “We’ve got money to burn, so going to burn it”. Really interesting to see how Liverpool fair next season. Changing up a settled midfield that worked, on top of losing their most key progressor of the ball, could lead to serious issues. Weren’t that convinced by Liverpool throughout the season, just had Salah who was the difference making in close games early on.

Unlike previous summers, feels next summer we’ll be in a better place to sell a ‘purple’ after spending £200m this summer.
-
He has some comedy moments, but Jackson underlying stats is pretty good for moving to a new league for a bat shit club and now having played under two managers. He'll go onto having a very good career IMO when he moves onto a European club this summer. Chelsea will splash big still on a striker. so it's pretty much a mute point saying he wouldn't start over Isak. Probably going to end up with Gyrokes at Chelsea by window shuts.
-
I am. Got a high ceiling and would've been great under Howe and playing alongside Isak in certain games. For £30m it was a great deal, but alas we move on. Alternative signing of similar profile would be Barry from Villareal IMO.

Crap predictions from me, but got the Newcastle ones pretty much spot on
-
Not panicked, new owners, but Everton still need to generate money. They'll need a good sale to enable them to spend well, especially the amount of bodies they need to replace. Moyes has done an exceptional job since joining, but they're so close to have a fucked side. Alcarez will be one of their crown jewells moving forward, getting him for £12m will be a superb deal long term.
-
With the extra games on TV (mixed in with the shitty Police request), it's almost guaranteed that both derbies will be 12pm. Just depends what day we play UCL whether it's a Saturday or Sunday midday kick off.

Looking at the seedlings so far, this would be my dream draw for ‘fun games’. Home - Barcelona, Frankfurt, Marseille, Celtic Away - Real Madrid, Benfica, Napoli, USG Looking at Pot 3/4 sides, depending on who the away is in 3, we should be looking at 10 points from those which means one win from other 4 games to go through. So much more easier compared to group stages (famous last words). Bratislava lost all 8 games last season and earned more money than Chelsea going all way and winning loads in Conference League

I was probably in the minority then that didn’t get swept away with the nonsense around him, because people were attributing every recognised signing to him.
