Yea, agree with you on Frimpong. Could be with the form Salah is in, there’s a legit argument that Frimpong as a direct RW crossing straight away will be great for Isak. But then Salah when he clicks, is world class. Then there’s this. He’s clearly asked to play in a way which limits what made him good for us. Spending £125m on him, with massive wages, to then restrict him in certain ways is not ideal. Neither party benefits. Got to let him drift around and allow him to find the space that he can impact game.

These are a poor European side. At home, we should be winning. This and Bilbao game really ought to be two wins, then pressure vastly off for rest off games with the points on board. Multiple changes needed, both for fitness but also to tell players their positions are not safe. Would give Ramsdale a game too as where we can, need to keep him match ready. Having watched him yesterday, I just can’t see how it clicks for him there. There was a position stat that came up, which showed he was operating primary off the right, Salah area Just strange. As soon as Etitike was on, and even after Isak went off, Etitike was coming in off left and was much more of a threat. There’s no doubt in my mind Etitike is the better player for Liverpool with Salah on RW. Isak is playing like he’s expecting first time crosses from Murphy still, which won’t happen at Liverpool. Maybe would’ve if TAA was still there, but that’s gone too. Quite confident by season end, there will be legit questions raised if Liverpool look to cut losses on Isak when he’s a clear number 2 to Etitike.
